Chap 57: the truth (F&B)

"I'll take a taxi" said Mio.

"You can just stay here." Said Mrs Chankimha.

"It's okay aunty. I don't want to make you all uncomfortable. And all rooms are already occupied. I better go back to my house" Mio insisted.

"What do you mean by uncomfortable? We're okay with it. Don't worry" said Mrs Armstrong.

"You can sleep with us tho," said Freen who climb down the stair and go to the kitchen to drink some water.

"Yup, it's not like you never sleep with us," said Becky who was sitting on the couch. All of them were shocked to see Becky was there. Since when did she sit there?

"You guys sure?" Ask Mio. They just nodded.

"Okay then. But... I didn't bring any clothes tho" said Mio.

"You can use mine," said Mrs Chankimha. Freen was shocked to hear that. Her mouth opened slightly making water inside her mouth flow out into the glass back.

"No... mom..no... I know what kind of clothes you always wear. She not gonna okay with it" said Freen. Just how her mother can say that?

"I'll lend my clothes.  We got the same size." Add Freen again. All of them there laughing when Freen panicked with her mom's offer. They know it was just a joke.

That night, they sleep in different arrangements with Mio in the middle. Freen want to take that place but Becky insisted that they should sleep in that arrangement.

"Don't you want to tell us more about your ex?" Ask Becky. Mio sighed a bit before she start her story.

I met her when I was 20... that's when I decide to live alone and my father give the permission to live alone. I rent a place but actually I live with her" said Mio.

"What is her name?" Freen cut Mio's story.

"Keiko. Keiko Matsuha. She is 5 years older than me and when we met, she has her own company. For the first half year, we were really in love. Like every day was heaven to me."Mi stop for a moment. Gather some courage. Then she felt Freen and Becky hold both of her hands.

"After that, her company got into a problem and was about to face bankruptcy. That's when she started to abuse me, and cheat on me. I thought she was just stressed and I let it slide since I don't know how to help her. But it becomes worse when she brings back home, a man and a woman. I felt so humiliated but somehow I still can endure it. Why am I so stupid back then?" She starts to cry silently... pity with her past self. Freen and Becky just stay silent and give all their focus on Mio.

"Then one day, she say she got a solution to save her company. I'm happy to hear that but I can't follow her. She says that it just gonna take 2 years and ask me to wait for her. I wait every day. Still waiting even though it's already more than 2 years." Mio stops telling her story. The room filled with silence. All of them just stare at the ceiling.

"Are still waiting for her?" Ask Freen to break the silence.

"Or are you still hoping that she gonna change?" Add Becky. Mio chuckled when heard their question.

"I'm not that stupid enough to expect something from her tho. I can't see any hope inside of her." Reply Mio.

"Then... you already move on?" Ask Becky again. Mio nodded a bit.

"The day I decide to become a photographer was the day I told myself, I should move on. I want to wander around the world,  witnessing the beauty of this world." Then she looks at Becky and then Freen.

"Then I met you two. And yeah, we met again. And she is still the same... glad to know that because it gives me a reason to leave her." Mio smile at the end of her story.

"Wow... so we are actually helping you move on from her." Said Freen. Mio frowning. Which part of her story state that they helping her move on tho.

"Wow... I don't know that you're into woman? Freen said that you're straight " said Becky. Mio chuckled. Does she only get that point from my whole story?

Both of them do have the same brain.

"I don't know what am I into. Just follow my feeling. Maybe right now... more to love myself first?" Reply Mio.

"Then, don't you know that Aaron actually likes you?" Ask Becky. Mio coughed a bit and look at Becky. Hmm... yeah, maybe she can share this with them.

"I know. But I'm not ready yet. Erm... how can I say... I still got a lot of self-hate and I need to improve that. How can we love someone else when we don't even love ourselves right?" Said Mio. Freen and Becky nodded agreed.

Both of them still playing with her hand. She don't know if they just want to play with it because she didn't need any courage anymore.

"Then, do you like him?" Ask Freen made Mio a bit flustered.

"Maybe? I don't hate him though" reply Mio. Freen nudge Mio's hand using her elbow.

"Wuuu, someone in love right now..." said Freen.

"Are you talking about yourself?" Ask Mio. Freen just blow her cheeks and pout her mouth.

"I'm always tho. Right now too" reply Free.

"Whatever" said Mio. Becky can sense that if she does not stop this, another war will happen. They just discharged today, she doesn't want to go back to the hospital tho.

"Okay, times up. My turn to say" said, Becky. Mio looks at Becky weirdly. Freen also changes her position with her stomach on the bed so she can see Becky right now.

"What do you want to say?" Ask Mio.

"Why don't we sleep right now?" Suggest Becky even though she is not sleepy right now.

"No, I don't want to. I still want to hear Mio's story" said Freen.

"Was there anything else you want to know?" Ask Mio. Freen nodded her head quickly.

"Then, what about your friends you once lost?" Ask Freen.

"You do love to know my dark side huh," said Mio.

"You don't have to tell if you don't want to" said Becky, didn't want to force Mio.

"No, its okay. Erm, you guys close enough with me to know that story" Then Mio continue to tell them about Ruby and Rachel.

"Ouh... so that's why you scold us that day." Said Freen. Mio just nodded.

"Ouh, yeah. I remembered something. Don't say the hoodie that I once wore at your house was belong to that crazy woman?" Ask Becky. Mio smiled awkwardly and nodded.

"Oh my gosh! I'm gonna burn that hoodie after this" said Becky furious. How can she wear those filthy things.

"How can you let me wear that thing," said Becky and  pinch Mio's cheeks.

"Aww, hurt.." said Mio but Becky take a few second before release Mio's cheek. Mio's cheeks already red.

"Well, that just a clothes tho" said Mio.

"Then... the art equipment you gave me too was..."

"I do want ot give it to her but simce she never back, I already think to throw it away but then you come. Better rto give it to you right " Mio cut Freen's words.

"Isn't it just same?" Freen replied.

"No. It's brand new tho. Well, if you don't want it, I don't want it too. Should I throw it away?" Said Mio.

"Why would you?" Freen raised her right eyebrow.

"You don't want it right?" Becky already sighed. Hmmm, nothing can hold them from puck fight with each other.

"I never said that tho. Who said it?" Rellied Freen. Then Mio smirked.

"So, you do want it" said Mio. Freen just rolled her eyes.

They continue to to fight for another 30 minutes while Becky already fall asleep. She didn't have the energy left to stop them. She just give up already to stop them. She knew that they will stop.

"Goodnight," said Freen.

"Hmm, night. Careful" said Mio, teasing Freen until the end. Freen turn her body to face Mio.

"Shut up"
