12. The price of freedom

Three hours later, the door opens with a bang, and two guards dressed in full protective gear and pointing an assault rifle at them enter the refrigerator chamber.

The authorities are taking all sorts of precautions to retake Bluehill prison because the mutiny has been a bloody one; they found more than a dozen inmates dead, and many others had to be hospitalised because of the fumes and tear gas, CO2 intoxication and burns. From the guards' side, one died, stabbed, and another one is at the ICU in hospital, fighting for his life.

As soon as Jeff and Bible are "liberated", they learn that the leader and instigator of the mutiny had initially managed to escape. He was the one who killed the guard, however he didn't make it too far and was fatally shot while trying to steal a car in a parking lot about 4 km from Bluehill.

After the incident, Princess pulled some strings and Bible moved to his cell. He still has someone looking out for him during the long periods he spends on the library, but now it's more of a bodyguard than a spy. From Bible's point of view, too, living closer to Jeff is reassuring.

For a while after the mutiny he keeps having nightmares in which he sees that guy slicing Jeff's throat. The motherfucker is dead, he was one of the casualties in the prisoners' tally, and in his dream he appears with a zombie-like face. As if killing the guy wasn't enough to get rid of him.

When that happens, Bible wakes up like someone who has spent too much time underwater and is using the last oxygen left in his lungs before re-surfacing. It takes some time to calm down his breathing and his nerves. He looks at Jeff sleeping beside him to erase the bloody images in his mind. Then he gently positions himself cupping his lover's body, and stays awake for hours, watching Jeff's chest slowly moving up and down with the soothing rhythm of his breathing.

Now Bible is one of the most powerful persons in prison. He still holds Princess' back pocket, but sometimes he also holds his hand for all to see.

Bible enjoys the rules, but he likes when he can break them. And, from time to time, Jeff wants to test Bible and what he would be capable of doing for him. Sexually speaking, of course, because he already knows Bible wouldn't hesitate to kill for him. That thought always gives Jeff a high, better than any drug he has ever tried.

When he is in the mood, he asks to top Bible. He fucks him knowing Bible will give him the same treatment and then some more. It's a way for Jeff's kinky mind to let Bible know what turns him on without actually telling him.

Like when he got him cornered in the showers, re-enacting that first night. But instead of tasing him, he made him stand facing the wall, hands up pressed to the shower tiles and open legs as if waiting for a search. Then he spanked, jerked and finally fucked him hard and fast, all without undressing, Jeff's clothes getting all wet from the shower and Bible's wet skin.

When Bible got him back, he wasn't able to sit comfortably for two days. Bible embraced the spanking, turning Jeff's skin pink with the slaps and with his freaking endurance he fucked Jeff so hard that he was begging him for mercy a few times before Bible stopped and gave him the most tender aftercare.

Bible and Jeff's have their own lusty private world to escape to whenever they need, and their time inside prisons seems to slip by quite pleasantly.

The lady solicitor came back to see Bible. She managed to have his case re-opened, and now she's looking into a reduction of the sentence from 7 to a maximum of 4 years. Bible has been in prison for 11 months, so that would be only three more years to go.

When he tells Jeff, he can't help smiling. Jeff looks at bible who has changed in the last few months, he's more self-assured and now, at last, he seems to be looking forward to the future, to getting out of prison.

Jeff reminds Bible he only has two more years to go in his sentence.

When Bible hears that, the first thought to cross his mind is how is he going to manage to be here without Jeff?
