Y/n pov
After a few hours of sitting in the same spot, I got up and walked back to the car. Once I was in the car I turned my phone back on so I could play some music. As soon as it turned on my phone flooded with missed call notifications and text messages mostly from Lauren and a few from Scott. I didn't even look at the messages before I started playing music from my phone. I just sat in the car and listened to music, not driving, not caring about anything but the music playing. My hand reached up and played with the guitar pick around my neck, and my thumb slid over the engraved words. My mind wandered back to the person who gave it to me. I felt my heart start to ache at the thought of her. Memories of the past flooded into my head as I tried to stop them, but ultimately failed.
My thoughts we cut off when I heard the passenger door open and shut. I quickly looked over to see her.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I had to make sure you were okay."
"Why do you even care?"
"Because I'm your girlfriend. It's my job to care."
"Is it also your job to hide things from me?" I snapped.
"What are you talking about!?" She snapped back.
"You are hiding something from me and I wanna know what the fuck it is!"
"I'm not hiding anything! Who even made you think that I was!?" She yelled.
"Ariana -"
"Wow, ok. So you believe Ariana over your own girlfriend?" She cut me off.
"Laur, you know it's not like that." I sighed.
"Yes it is and you know it. She only told you that bullshit so that you would break up with me and go back to her!"
"L-"
"I don't want to hear it." She said and got out the car, slamming the door and storming off.
"Lauren!" I shouted as I ran after her. She only ignored me and kept running.
"Lauren!" I repeatedly shouted.
"Dammit, Lauren." I said as I grabbed her arm and pinned her against the nearest tree to stop her from running off again. All that could be heard was our ragged breathing due to the unexpected long chase.
"I don't like fighting with you." Lauren whispered because of our close proximity.
"I don't want to fight with you, but I need to know. Are you hiding something from me?" She didn't respond, only stared at me as my nervousness grew. "Just, just please tell me something. You don't even have to tell me the exact thing, just as long as you tell me you aren't cheating on me, please." I begged with my eyes closed, scared of her possible answer.
"(Y/n), please look at me." She gently demanded as I opened my eyes and looked into hers. I didn't realize I had let her hands go until I felt her arms snake their way around my neck, pulling me closer.
"(Y/n), I can promise you that I'm not cheating on you. I really like you and I think I'm falling for you, so why would I do something so stupid to mess it up?"
"That's all I needed to know." I said before I crashed our lips together in an extremely passionate kiss. When air was needed, I slowly pulled away enough for our foreheads to press against each other. Our breath clashed against one anothers in the peaceful silence.
"Come on. Let's go home, it's been a long day." Lauren stated and laced our fingers together as we walked back to my car. I opened the door for Lauren and then got in on my side before starting the engine. I put our intertwined fingers in between us, on the center console. I drove to Lauren's house and parked the car in her driveway. The sun was already starting to rise as we quietly entered the house and tip toed up to Lauren's room because of the other sleeping girls.
Lauren walked into her closet and changed into her pajamas before throwing me some basketball shirts to slide on over my boxers. I removed my shirt and placed it on a chair in the room before laying down and having Lauren cuddle on top of me like usual. I ran my fingers through Lauren's hair as my other hand caressed her face once she was asleep.
"I'm falling for you too." I whispered and kissed her forehead before letting myself drift off into sleep.
A/N I meant to update yesterday, but whoops. Sorry it's short. Comment and vote and stuff.
