I've been in love with 5 Seconds of Summer for a few months. They've gotten me through a lot though.

It's my fourteenth birthday. I have a few friends that live in nearby towns. They knew of my love for 5SOS and for a birthday present they each found a way to get $20. On the last day of school they told me about the money and that I'm going with them to the 5SOS concert on my birthday. They said to pack a bag and tell my mom that I was sleeping over at one of their houses. They already told their families so there was nothing to worry about. One of my friends is 15, one is 16, one is 17, one is 20, one is 21, and one is 23. Thank God we ranged in age in case we had to get into a club or bar. I started packing my bag like I was sleeping over: pajamas, slippers, nail polish, some snacks, some drinks, etc. I packed a few pairs of clothes. I figured maybe I'd hang out with them for a few days. What we were actually doing was staying in a hotel. My mom didn't really care who I hung out with. I made sure to bring my outdated phone, the charger, my headphones, and a few pairs of shoes, just to be prepared for anything. I packed my Vans, which were my most valuable shoes, my beat up running sneakers, and my sandals. I had $15 so I brought it, knowing that I might need it and my mom would take it if I left it laying around.

It was about four when they pulled up outside and beeped. I opened my door and yelled "I'm leaving," before taking my duffel bag and climbing out the window. It was my birthday, I did what I felt like doing. I actually landed on my feet.

"Ooo, so you're a cat now, huh?

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not a kitten like Michael Clifford, unfortunately. Sorry, McKenzie."

McKenzie is 17, Allison is 15, Jenna is 20, Sierra is 21, Sam is 16, and Jay is 23. I jumped into the minivan and threw my duffel bag into the back. We made sure we had everything we needed. Snacks, drinks, tickets, money, clothes for different occasions, different shoes, bathing suits, etc. They didn't tell me what hotel we were staying in but I knew it would be nice. We started driving away. Then I heard sirens in the distance.
