Chapter 4

The Next Day

Darjeeling regretted making love with Kay the night before, as her casted leg throbbed with pain. Some of the more energetic moves Kay had made resulted in Darjeeling hitting her casted leg against the wall, which forced Darjeeling to keep her leg propped up on some pillows. To make matters even worse, Darjeeling realized that the simplest of tasks were near-impossible due to her plastered arm, finding out the hard way when she tried to dress herself with only her good arm. The only good thing that came out of their activities the night before was that Kay had given Darjeeling a sponge bath to make up for her activities last night. As Darjeeling was staring glumly at her casted toes, she noticed Kay walking into her room.

"Hey there babe. How are ya feeling?", asked Kay as she sat down next to Darjeeling.

"Terrible. Next time, please be gentle. Also, everything hurts even worse now, and I can't even get dressed by myself.", complained Darjeeling, who had finally noticed that she was wearing only her lingerie.

"I'll help. Also, what happened to Earl Grey?", volunteered Kay as she gently slipped a sweater over Darjeeling, who was blushing with embarrassment by now.

"Some things are better left unsaid, Kay.", replied Darjeeling as Kay put on Darjeeling's black, pleated skirt for her.

"But I really want to know what happened to your Senpai, Earl Grey.", pleaded Kay out of curiosity.

"Well, how would I put it? Have you ever heard the saying 'The past has a way of catching up.', Kay?", asked Darjeeling.

"Not really, but what does this have to do with her?", was Kay's reply.

"Apparently, several tapes containing scandalous material pertaining to Earl Grey emerged recently, and it started a scandal. Additionally, several of her former teammates have come forward with allegations of sexual harrassment. The scandal's on BBC.", explained Darjeeling to Kay, who was listening intently to the story.

"The university that she was attending expelled her after they learned of Earl Grey's past indecency, and there's even rumors circulating that she's been arrested.", continued Darjeeling.

"Damn. She must have had some kinky preferences.", commented Kay. "When Earl Grey was your commander, did she do anything R-rated with you?", asked Kay with a devilish grin.

"Let's just say that we had a strictly professional relationship with each other.", replied Darjeeling to Kay's question. "How was the strategy meeting yesterday, Kay?", asked Darjeeling, quickly changing the subject

"It was good. We announced that we'd be returning the Firefly that we borrowed. Also, your teammates said they'd be coming over to visit today.", recounted Kay.

Just as Kay finished speaking, she heard a frantic knocking sound coming from the door to her house. Curious as to who was knocking, Kay walked to the door and opened it, which revealed Orange Pekoe, Assam, and Rosehip standing outside the door. Rosehip was holding a plain, white cake box and appeared extremely apologetic, while Assam was carrying an extremely large shopping bag that was stuffed to the brim with items. Meanwhile, Pekoe pushed a folded wheelchair through Kay's door.

"Oh hey! Y'all must be Darjeeling's teammates. Come in –", greeted Kay cheerfully as Rosehip, nearly tripping and dropping the box onto Kay's floor, dashed through the door like a dog would after seeing its owner come home.

"Rosehip, you ought to have waited for Kay to finish before going in. Also, it's inelegant to run around when visiting someone.", chided Assam.

"I'm sorry, Assam-senpai.", apologized Rosehip, her face blushing red with embarrassment at Assam's scolding.
