Everyone seems really excited today too... Is there an event?!?!
Eh im not coming... I have to catch up on some serious sleep. I haven't slept in days!
Only two really, but don't expect me to not get tired! You want to know what I was doing? WELL CATCHING UP ON MY WORK OF COURSE
Ahh... im so drained..
Maybe if I stay late today I will manage to get even more paperwork done so that I can take a day off...?
Well its worth the try.
(Time skip)
-5 pm-
"Y/n~ you're here later than usual."
Ranpo muttered.
It was only me and Ranpo in the office now. I was almost done with my paperwork.
"You know why, don't you?"
I replied, multi-tasking.
"Of course I do! I'm the greatest detective afterall..."
He said as he stood up from his laying position on his desk and walked up to mine (desk).
"Well, Goodluck with that last fews of paperwork. I'm going. Enjoy your break!"
He stated as he put an envelope on my desk and walked away.
Me, being curious, I opened the envelope in which there was a letter, some sweets and a... paper rose?
(Imagine whatever paper rose you want, I have the paper rose from tt in mind if you know what I mean)
I immediately got to reading.
It said
"Dear Y/n
Seeing you work this hard you probably want a break. You spent restless nights doing paperwork, didn't you? Yeah, I've seen those bags under your eyes. Two days was it? Not very usual of me saying so but take a break.
Seeing that you don't have as amazing ability as me must be heartbreaking so maybe next time I might help you if you ask nicely!(and bring me sweets)
And yes! Those are some of my sweets. They are for your hard work. You might aswell treasure them, since they're from me of course! I also made a paper rose when I was bored... so enjoy i guess.
By the way, you started work that was in for the next week so you have more time for your break. You're welcome! Thank me later.
