Annabeth awoke in a cold sweat, her whole body shaking. She touched her shoulder. It was bandaged, and didn't hurt.
She looked around. "Where am I?" She thought. "And who bandaged my arm?"
Then another thought sprang into her head: "Where's Percy?" She looked around, frantic, until she spotted him on the other side of the room, asleep on some blankets.
She appeared to be on top of some blankets herself, but she could barely feel the floor over them. She looked around.
They appeared to be in a small backstage area with ropes dangling from the ceiling, props, snacks, and even some pieces of machinery. She stood up, trying to head over to Percy, and surprisingly, she was fine. A bit nauseous, but fine. She walked over slowly, trying not to make a sound. She didn't know who was here, and they had bandaged her shoulder, but in the past, people who wanted to help just wanted to sell her for ransom or something. She didn't even have money on her head, but you can never be too careful.
In the middle of the room, she stopped. Someone was talking on the other side of the curtain. It sounded like two people were fighting.
"You don't need to call them! I did a great job at bandaging them up, so you can just calm down, and let them rest!" A voice said. This voice was loud, and that's all Annabeth could really distinguish, other than it was most likely male.
"I know you think you did a good job, but I think a real doctor would be better help." This voice was make too, much calmer. It had a sort of charm to it, like that of an empousa. She'd never heard of a male empousa, but again, you can never be too careful.
"She's not even a doctor! She's just in high school, about to go to med school! She can't be any better than me!"
"Woah. Not so loud. You might wake them up." A third voice said. This one was probably female. It was light and airy, and if the second voice was calm, this one was even calmer. Her voice was soft and sweet, almost like she was afraid to say anything at all.
"I'm calling them." Said the second voice.
"No!" Said the first voice voice! "I did a good job!"
There was some shuffling and the pounding of feet, and then the sound of a phone ringing. Annabeth very rarely heard that sound, what with monsters picking up on the signal. Whatever or whoever the people were, they weren't demigods.
"Hello, Mizuki!" Said the second voice," I know this sounds strange, but two teenagers just appeared on our stage. They were hurt, and Tsukasa tried to help, but you know him. Can you get your doctor friend to help?"
"Oh, is that her name?"
"Alright, see you when you get here!!"
"Bye!"
"Love you too. Bye."
*beep!* And the call was over.
Voice one, whoever this Tsukasa character was, groaned. "I did a great job!"
"Well, Asahina can decide that."
"Why don't we see how they're doing?! I bet I did such a good job that they've woken up by now!"
"Stop yelling." The soft voice said.
Annabeth's eyes widened and she quickly got back into bed.
She heard some footsteps coming closer and shut her eyes tight.
"See, neither of them woke up."
"Are they gonna be okay?" This voice was different. Probably female, and quite high pitched. Loud too, but certainly not as loud as Tsukasa's.
"I'm sure they'll be okay, Emu." Said voice number two.
In that moment, all Annabeth could think was, "like the bird?"
"WAKE UP!!!" Yelled Tsukasa, and the three other voices shushed him.
She heard Percy gasp and sit up, so she opened her eyes and sat up slowly. Now she could properly get a look at her captors. They didn't look like monsters, but again, you can never be too careful.
"Now you've woken them up!" Said voice number two. He was a pretty tall guy of around her age. His complexion was actually quite beautiful and delicate for a guy, but his hair was a bit too extravagant for Annabeth's tastes. It was a beautiful shade of purple, like if lavender was more vibrant, and it had a couple of sky blue streaks in it.
Tsukasa was shorter that voice number two, and he was still a quite beautiful person, though his features weren't as delicate as voice number two. His hair was bright orangey yellow, like a sunset.
"Where am I?!?!" Percy looked around frantically, before his eyes landed on the group of four.
"They're alive!" Said Emu, a petite girl in a bright pick dress with bright pink hair, and maybe even bright pink eyes(?). That meant the other one had to be voice number three. She was petite too, though not quite as short as Emu. Her hair was a soft green, the nicest hair color in Annabeth's opinion.
"Yes. We're alive." Percy frowned. "Where are we?"
"Phoenix Wonderland!!" Shouted Tsukasa. He put his hands on his hips. "I am Tsukasa Tenma and I am a star!"
Voice two cleared his throat. Tsukasa took his hands off his hips and pointed out the rest individually: "Oh, and these are my counterparts, Rui Kamishiro (voice two), Emu Ootori, and Nene Kusanagi (voice three). Any questions?" He smiled and out his hands on his hips again.
"Yeah, um, where are we?!!?!"
"I already told you. You're at the WonderStage in Phoenix Wonderland!!"
"Okay how far away from Long Island are we?"
"Long Island?" Said Rui, "We're in Japan."
"What?" Annabeth said, "Then how can we understand you?"
"Obviously you can understand Japanese. You're speaking it yourself."
"No we're not."
They stared at each other for a couple seconds before there was a knock on the side door (the only door). Rui went to open it. He smiled as someone with pink hair pulled up in a ponytail walked in. "Hey, Mizuki!" He said. They smiled wide. "Hey, Rui!" They said. Suddenly, they grabbed his shoulder tightly and they did a mix of a ballroom dance and a handshake, until they were pulled into a hug.
Mizuki pulled away. "And this is the doctor you called for!" They drumrolled by rolling their tongue. "Mafuyu Asahina!!"
