Chapter 4 : Good Enough

"Am I still not good enough am I still not worth that much"

Mel's p.o.v
"Please baby stop nothing happened I swear" I was pleading with Daniel right now

He had his belt in his hand ready to take another swing at me.

"WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT"

he hit me again. I screamed in pain with lots of tears running down my face

"We have a project for school and we went to the library"

(Lash) "he said "y'all didn't get much work done what was you doing besides work"

"The library closed early today we don't know why"

He hit me again and again and again

"Please stop" my whole body was in pain I felt like I was gonna die

"You promise nothing happened"

"Yes I'm promise I would never do that to you. I promise"

"I believe you baby I'm sorry"

He picked me up off the floor and carried me to couch.

He started to kiss my bruises while holding me. This is what he always does makes up for his mistakes with physical affection.

"I think I just wanna go take a shower right now"

"Ok do you want some company"

"No" that came out pretty cold actually but right with the amount of pain I was in I really didn't care

I stood in the shower with tears streaming down my face still in a lot of pain from the beating I got a few minutes ago

He didn't even give me a chance to explain anything he thought I was cheating with Ray and I wasn't. So he beat me just like that.

I finished my shower and came out I got dressed and walked downstairs.

"Baby"

"Yes Daniel"

"I was thinking maybe we could watch a movie"

"Sure" I actually wanted to watch a movie. That's what I came down to do anyway but I was hoping he wouldn't be here

I sat on the couch and watched as he put in a movie. The movie started to and he went into the kitchen.

"Baby I got you something"

I turned around and it was so lame but pretty flowers.

"Thanks"

I took them from him and for up and threw them into the garage.

"What did you do that"

"Because I don't want them"

I sat back on the couch and he came next to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and put his face in the crook of my neck

"Is there something you need" I asked him "like why are you all up on me"

"No reason I just love you that's all"

I shifted away from him further down the couch

"It's hot in here sorry"

"Baby don't be like that"

He scooted even closer to me and started to kiss my lips I didn't kiss him back I didn't even want his nasty kiss instead I pushed him off me.

"I'm actually tired so I'm gonna go to bed"

I walked up stairs with him following behind me. I got up to the room and went straight to bed. He claimed in with me wrapping his arms around me.

Oh my god can't he take a hint

"WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING ME, CANT YOU SEE THAT I DONT WANNA BE AROUND YOU. I DONT WANT YOUR NASTY ASS HANDS ONME. STOP BOTHERING ME LEAVE ALONE YOUR SO ANNOYING LIKE DONT FUCKING TOUCH ME"

I looked at him and he looked shocked angry and hurt. Mostly hurt.

I got up grabbed my pillow and went to sleep in the guest room.

"OH AND ONE MORE THING GO TAKE A SHOWER CAUSE YOU SMELL LIKE BOOTY"

I was furious, tired , pissed , everything. I just wanted To be alone.

It's was 3am and I still couldn't sleep. I actually don't wanna be here in this house right now. I'll just go to Cassidy's. I'll just go get some clothes and leave.

I went into the room and opened the door. Thank god the door doesn't squeak. I got a duffel bag out the closet and tip toed to the drawers to get some clothes. I went into the bathroom and it my hair brush and all that other stuff. I checked in Daniel and he was still asleep.

I grabbed the bag and went downstairs I put the bag by the door and went into the kitchen to get a water bottle.

I walked back to the front door and I almost shit myself when I saw Daniel.

"Where do you think you going.You think you gonna leave me"
