I woke up by a bird tapping on my window, it was Gaara's bird

I opened the window and read the letter

Oh it's alright really. I'm happy that you said that because we would actually be arriving at Sunday. Sorry I got the days wrong

I finished reading the letter and smiled my smile soon faded when I heard a knocking at the door

I walked out my room and walked to the front door. As I walked I asked "who is it?" To the person knocking

No answer and I opened the door with a surprised face it was Lee

"Hi Y/n-chan!, we might've forgotten to inform you that tsunade set you up on a mission with Neji" "Oh alright uhm. What's the mission about?" I asked

"Oh it's just that you have to go to a near by village and just stay on guard since it's new" he answered

"Oh ok I'll just get ready and go to where neji is" I smiled at him and shut the door

In the outside while I was talking to Lee it seemed like I was fine but I was so nervous

I backed myself up on the door and thought I DIDN'T EVEN ASK HOW MANY DAYS WE'RE GONNA BE GONE FOR

I was already half dead crawling to my room trying to figure out how much clothes I'm gonna pack and what would happen during our mission there

I was all over the place I didn't even notice that 10 minutes have passed and I was still panicking

And that was until I heard another knock from the door

I dragged myself to open the door once again to be greeted by an angry but yet trying to stay cool hyuga

"You do know were late right" he asked clearly a little irritated "Sorry, I was panicking because I didn't even know how many days were gonna be gone for and didn't know how much clothes I was gonna pack" I pouted hoping it would save me from getting yelled at by one of the most intimidating person I know

Neji sighed at my statement "we're gonna be guarding for a week or two. Since your so 'clueless' I'll help you pack" he said with a teasing tone and smirked to himself

I blushed at what he said and motioned for him to come in

We entered my room and I started packing my undergarments because there was no way I'm letting neji pack me those

Neji packed the things I needed to bring since I was so 'clueless' I was kind of enjoying the peacefulness I'm encountering with neji at the moment

We finished packing and was on our way to the village, it was gonna take us an hour to get to our destination

For the first 15 minutes it was just awkward silence all I could hear was my breathing and the birds that chirped

There was an awkward tention but it was also very relaxing in how peaceful it was

I smiled at the sight of the birds flying around and making nests in the tree's

It's really have been a while since I felt this feeling before

I always used to go to the woods with gaara when we were little. I'm not gonna lie I miss being at the sand village, it was my home

After a while of walking Neji decided to break the silence

"Did Gaara reply to your message? " he asked looking at my direction "Oh yes actually. He said they were going to be arriving at Sunday he just got the dates wrong" I chuckled and gave neji a closed eyes smile while scratching my nape

We soon arrived at the village, it was small and beautiful, we showed the guards that were beside the gate the letter lady tsunade asked us to give so they know we were on a mission here

After that we went to a small restaurant that served soba noodles since none of me and neji had eaten yet since we left

We had our small talks here and there and he brought up that we should go to the hotel and rest for a bit

We arrived at the room that we were staying at we put out stuff to in the cabinet and laid on our respective beds

I sighed and looked at the ceiling and looked at my left seeing Neji looking at me, I went on my side and placed my right hand over my left and placed my head on both of them

I smiled at Neji and he smiled back, I suddenly got the courage to get up and walk over to his bed and sat beside him, while still laying on his bed a brush my had through his long hair and he looked at me

He moved a little to my legs and layed his head onto my thighs

I chuckled at the sight still brushing my hand through his hair

He suddenly moved a lil to his left to give me a little bit of space and he patted on the mattress telling me to lie next to him

He then got up to close the lights spoke "we should get changed into our pajamas" he told me and one nodded and went to the closet and got out my clothes

I went into the bathroom and got changed while Neji changed in the bedroom

I went out the bathroom and saw that Neji was laying on his bed under the covers with his eyes closed

"Stop staring, I can't sleep knowing someone is staring at me" I blushed at his statement "geez I didn't know you were asleep" I laughed

"Why? Wanted to ask me if you could sleep next me or something? " he teased and open his eyes to look at me with a smirk on his face

"You wish" I muttered loud enough for him to hear "says you, didn't you just sit down on my bed and started playing with my hair a few moment ago" he replied with the his smirk still on his face

I rolled my eyes and went to my bed to get under my blanket and faced the wall to my right and dozed off

Moment later a felt commotion going on, I suddenly felt something behind me get under the covers with me and felt strong hands slither onto both sides of my waist

Who the hell I whispered and looked behind me

"Shut up and go back to sleep" Neji said with his eyes closed frowning

I sighed and began to doze off again
