♫ ♫ "O Sajana!" ♫ ♫ When Lata Ji's (RIP) voice crackled through the old radio. The Elderly Man sitting in his veranda, tuned the channel and smiled widely, as the audio got clear.

"Shipra! Sun rahi ho? tumhara pasandida gaana (you listening? your favorite song)" He looked over his shoulder and asked a little loudly.

"Haa (yes)" the reply came from inside the house.

♫ ♫       "O sajana,
             barakha bahaar ayi ,
             Ras ki fuhaar laayi,
             ankhiyon men pyaar laayi " ♫ ♫

♫ ♫     "(Oh, my beloved,
the rain-filled season of spring has arrived.
It has brought sprinkling droplets of nectar,
it has brought love to these eyes. )" ♫ ♫

"Ah ha!" the Man swayed his head with closed eyes in delight of the classic, "Is gaane ke sath agar ek cup cha.. (with this song if I get a cup of te..)" He was to say when his wife walked outside with his cup of tea.

"Hmmm.. pata hai mujhe (hmmm... I know)" The elderly lady handed him the tea, "Nashta ban raha hai, thodi der me lati hu (Breakfast will be ready, will bring it in few minutes)" she added.

The Man smiled and took the tea, but before his wife could go in, he held her hand, "ruko toh sahi (just wait will you)" he asked.

"Arre! kya kar rahe hai Sudhir! (Arre! what are you doing Sudhir!)" Shipra, gasped, "chodiye, koi dekh lega (leave me, someone will see us)" she was flushed by his action and tried to free her wrist from her Man's grip which was still pretty much strong.

"Koi nahi dekhega, aur konsa me kuch kar raha hu (no one will see us, and am not even doing anything)" The Man, Sudhir smiled sheepishly.

"toh hath kyu nahi chod rahe (then why you not leaving my hand)" The Lady, Shipra, still blushed like a newly wed, trying to free her hand, "chodiye na (leave please)" she griped, sweetly.

"nahi chodunga, pehle tum idhar baitho (I won't, first sit here)" Sudhir said, adamantly.

"baithi hu, pehle hath toh chodiye (I will seat, first let go of my hand)" Shipra, having no other option sat on the other chair, yet her husband didn't let go of her hand.

♫ ♫  "tum ko pukaare mere, man kaa papeeharaa x2
         meethhee meethhee aganee me,
         jale moraa jiyaraa" ♫ ♫

♫ ♫ "(The cuckoo bird in my heart calls out to you, x2
as my heart burns in a sweet fire) ♫ ♫

He sang along Lata Ji's voice, mending his untrained and profound voice, with such emotions that the Lady's cheeks warmed up with extensive blushing.

"ho kya gaya hai aapko? (what has happened to you?)" She looked at him in disbelief, yet enjoying his singing like always. Sudhir was not bothered and continued singing.

When he paused halfway through the song she asked, "hogaya aapka? Mujhe nashta bhi banana hai (are you done? let me go, I have to look after the breakfast)"

Sudhir, chuckled seeing her cheeks turn darker shades of crimson with each passing second, made him sigh at how lucky he got and how beautiful his wife looked after so many years of their marriage.

"tum bhi na Shipra, jara dekho kitni khubsurat subah hai, mere sath baitho aur suno is gaane ko (Come on Shipra, just look at this beautiful morning, sit with me and listen to this song)" Sudhir told.

Shipra just smiled subtly and sat there, not struggling with freeing her hands anymore and firmly wrapped her fingers around her Man's.

♫ ♫ "O sajana,
             barakha bahaar ayi ,
             Ras ki fuhaar laayi,
             ankhiyon men pyaar laayi " ♫ ♫

♫ ♫     "(Oh, my beloved,
the rain-filled season of spring has arrived.
It has brought sprinkling droplets of nectar,
it has brought love to these eyes. )" ♫ ♫

The hook line repeated as the two gazed in each other's eyes.
