It was now December, wintertime, which meant winter break. Andre was of course spending the time with his sons while Lucio was finally with his cousins again. They came near the end of October, and we're spending until next summer with him. Meaning, Andre and Lucio didn't talk as much. Which Andre would say was a good thing.

On Lucio's birthday, things changed between them. Of course, they still spent time and talked to each other on a daily basis, but little moments kept happening between them. Touches, glances, and remarks about each other felt different than before.

And it was all because Andre kissed him on his birthday and danced with him at the club.

He didn't mean to, it was a drunk spur of the moment thing. But his heart told him to, and in his drunken mind he did. Now, he felt like his crush on Lucio just kept growing, even with the distance.

He tried not to think about it, but the fact that Lucio didn't pull away—even though he was also under the influence—meant he had a chance, and Andres' heart was jumping about it.

They had known each other for four months and Andre was smitten over him. He didn't blame himself, Lucio was mysterious and elusive, and Andre was so very curious about him, even now. He was cute and charming, and it was only a matter of time before anyone could fall in love with him.

The only logical thing keeping Andre from jumping into his arms was the fact they lived two different lives. Lucio's life was indeed mysterious, and dangerous and he knew he couldn't live in it. He had kids and a stable job already. As much as he would like to be provided for, he still didn't know what came with Lucio's life and if he could even accommodate it.

It was all very frustrating for Andre to be at war with himself. He let out an exhausted groan and he leaned back in the benches he was sitting on.

Genesis came up next to him smirking, "Still upset over Lucio?"

"No..." he mumbled.

The woman sat next to him, "Just ask him out, Andre."

"I can't." Andre watched his son's play with Celia in the snow, they were watching the girl for the day.

The family had left the warmth of their apartments to go to a nearby park. It was just a small lot in-between a small clearing. The city couldn't tear down the trees so they built a playground in the middle, even though now it was covered in snow. Morgan, Celia, and Remus we're currently building a snowman nearby, covered head to toe in winter gear,

"Why not?" Genesis hands the man a hot chocolate she has brought for him.

"It wouldn't work out well." Andre took a sip thankfully, the warmth of the drink warming his core.

"Well, why not," she pressed, "You like him, Cece likes you, the boys like him, and I'm sure he is in love with you."

"It's not that gen," he sighed, "We are different people, you know that."

"Oh, you're worried your lives would clash." Gen understood his concern. Even though the two men had similarities, they lived totally different lives. Andre was simple, while Lucio's wasn't.

"Yeah, if we got together it wouldn't work with how we live now." He said, "but I'm fine with what we have now. I'm fine with being friends."

"Well, I'm not," Genesis exclaimed, almost spilling her hot chocolate, "I want my Black-Voss to happen."

Andre raised an eyebrow, "Black...Voss?"

"It's your last name combined, it's literally your relationship!" She had made up the name herself, with very little effort of-course.
