I woke up early to surprise Marebear and called her school.
"Hello, this is Denis Damocles, headmaster of Francoise Dupont College." someone at the other end answered.
"Hello, Mr. Damocles, I am calling about Marinette Dawson."
I heard some typing, "I am sorry to inform you that we have no Marinette Dawson at our school." I remembered what Mari told me.
"Oh, sorry, I meant Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
He entered the name, "Yes, continue."
"I am her older brother-"
"Again, I regret to tell you that Marinette has no siblings recorded on the school site."
Damn, had Mom went that far to disown me?
"Try her roommate."
"Roommate? Would you then mind to tell us her address as that is also not recorded?" If it wasn't there, then I'd doubt Marebear would want me to tell them.
"Yes, I would mind very much, Mr. Damocles."
"Young man! You have quite a lot of nerve, speaking to me like that!" His voice filled with anger.
"How do you know I am a young man? Are you assuming genders? I could be trans?! Or non-binary?! Are you discriminating me?!" I played the discrimination card against him, "Why does this always happen to me?! I just wanted to say that Marinette is not feeling well and cannot attend school! And I get this treatment?!"
I disconnected before he could say anymore. Now, to prepare the best day ever for my sister.
