"I was thinking you could teach me, the whole team is going to the pizzeria and if you still want to go we can, but you know that's not really my crowd." Neema says. Alex thinks for a second, weighs his pros and cons and can't seem to think of any cons. "I've got a key to the gym." Is all he says picking up the ball and leading the way.
Once they're in the gym Neema looks at it like she's never seen it before. Alex must have said that out loud because she says "I've just never seen it this empty." Alex is used to it, he normally stays hours and hours after practice still working the same moves over and over again until he physically can't anymore. "Where do you want to start?" He asks "well shooting seems like a good idea." Neema smiles.
They practice for an hour Alex's body still aching slightly from the game but it's nothing he can't handle--hasn't handled before. Neema seems to think they've done enough and Alex honestly hasn't had this good of a time with someone in a long time. They laughed and talked and shot hoops and Alex doesn't know why he thought Clair would ever be able to distract him from the gorgeous, intimidating girl in front of him. Alex takes a seat on the bleachers and Neema joins him, their knees bump together and Neema lays her head on Alex's shoulder. "I should really leave you alone." Neema says and Alex feels himself tense because this feels like a serious conversation on its way and he doesn't understand why she would ruin such a great moment. "I'm not going to obviously." She continues "but I should." Alex instantly relaxes at that and glances at her from the side of his eye. "Well this may sound selfish but I'm kind happy your choosing not to." Alex mumbles his voice slightly muffled by the fact that he's turned to kiss the top of her hair. "It's does sound selfish." Neema says seriously and all Alex can do is nod his head in agreement. She looks up at him and it's the final straw, he's breaking one of his 'Neema Rules' and he kisses her. She seems shocked but she quickly reacts the way he hoped for and kisses him back. Alex is pretty sure he just messed up in the worst way possible.
