The mission and in Liyue part I.

Cale... I mean Ajax really had no idea how he got himself into this situation. He was standing on a dock in Liyue looking at an elegant person who was obviously not a human. He deadpanned and wondered how he got into this kind of shit.... Why was he here again? Oh, right..

-Flash back-

"Tartaglia, I have a mission for you, my eleventh." The Tsaritsa said softly.
"I want you to go to Liyue and take Rex Lapis' geo gnosis from him." she continued.

"Yes, Your Majesty" Ajax said with a flat voice.

He and the Tsaritsa had a relationship akin to siblings and she knew he didn't like working. Childe usually was found trying to scam others by the Tsaritsa, but she loved him like a brother. She found herself amused by his antics and when they got to know each other better, Ajax told her about his previous life. They didn't have secret as they shared everything with the other.

When Ajax expressed his wish to leave the Fatui, they agreed on a deal, which was that Ajax will continue to be a "Harbinger" (read: a slacker) and the Tsaritsa will let him have his dream life (being a slacker... He really needs a new hobby other then scamming people).

Ajax got his last mission (not that anyone really knew), which was to steal the geo gnosis. He realised that he will most likely come to some kind of contact with Rex Lapis.

Finally, he got on the boat to Liyue, ready to "serve" the Tsaritsa.

-Flash back end-

Right.... His mission... Anyways, as the took a good look at the person (who introduced himself as Zhongli while he was remembering, and as it turns out, he works as a consultant for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor) he noticed a rather strong elemental energy from the man. An adeptus maybe.

Ajax felt a tap on his shoulder and looked up. He saw Zhongli's worried face (he must have spaced out).

"I'm sorry. I must have spaced out. I'm Tartaglia, code name: Childe, the 11th Harbinger." He answered, making sure his tone was flat.

Zhongli looked at him with a deadpanned expression and continued talking.

"As I was saying, I was hired to be your guide during your stay in Liyue. It's pleasure to work with you, Childe."

"The pleasure is all mine, I assure you, Mr. Zhongli. I know you are a well-respected man"

Zhongli's lips turned slightly upwards.

"Let me invite you to lunch at Wanmin Restaurant. I'll answer your questions then we can schedule our next meeting accordingly" Zhongli offered.

"Then let's go! I can't wait!" Childe said in a fake cheery voice.

Zhongli frowned a little but didn't say anything as he lead Childe towards the Wanmin Restaurant.

"Say, Mister Zhongli... Can you tell me about the history of Liyue?" Tartaglia suggested (he was actually curious about it, for once)

Then Zhongli smiled a little and started to explain the history of Liyue from the very beginning. He looked like he was really remembering, recalling old memories.
