Ryoga started to yawn as he tossed his orange upwards, lying down at the sturdy branch above a tree. He was so tired running away from all the girls that had been chasing him since that morning to hand him valentine's chocolates.
He heaved a deep sigh and closed his eyes.
"You know, running away from training is a bad idea. Byoudouin-senpai will double your routine" a voice called over from below. He smiled as he recognized the voice and scoffed.
"Well, what about you? What are you doing here, miss?"
[Y/N] rolled her eyes and crossed her arms on her chest. "I lost a bet with Irie-senpai so this is my punishment. Come down now" she coldly replied.
The older Echizen chuckled and gracefully jumped down, landing just right in front of her. [Y/N] didn't even flinch with his sudden movement, making him smirk. "So, what would be the punishment if you fail to accomplish your punishment?"
"Not really interested. I'm just here to deliver the message that you need to return to the courts or you'll never hear the end of it" she shook off and was about to walk off, but Ryoga suddenly pulled her wrist and pinned her on the tree behind her, making her gasp.
"I would but you'll have to give me something sweet" he provoked with a husky tone, leaning forward to her face and pushing her chin up, but still, [Y/N] didn't falter. "If you're talking about chocolate, you should just accept those girl's gifts and you'll have your sweets" she coldly dismissed him and swatted his hand away, pushing him off. Ryoga chuckled again and shrugged.
"Man, I can't really charm you, huh"
[Y/N] raised her eyebrow in confusion. "And why would you think I'll even consider that? I'm not interested in a womanizer, nor a flirtatious person as yourself"
Ryoga faked a drama as if he was hit by an arrow straight to his heart. "Ouch. First of all, I'm not a womanizer. If I was, I'd be spending this day with a different girl every hour. Second, I'm not flirty, I'm just a romantic guy. And lastly, I am serious when it comes to the person I like. I believe you would immediately know how"
[Y/N] just stared at him blankly and turned around to walk away. "Nope. Not a clue" she simply answered.
Ryoga sighed and watched as she walked away.
"Man, [Y/N] is being super cute today. Too bad she still hasn't warmed up to me" he sighed and grabbed his phone, looking at the calendar that shows the date. "I guess no chocolates for me this year too"
As he jogged to catch up with [Y/N], he suddenly flinched.
"There he is! Ryoga-sama 💙!"
"Sama?" [Y/N] asked in confusion.
"Crap. This is bad"
[Y/N] smirked. "Well, goodluck on—wah!!!" She suddenly squealed as she was pulled away by Ryoga to run away from the fangirls.
"Tsk. Why the hell were they allowed in here anyway?!" He complained between his gasps as they continued to run.
Finally, they arrived at a corner building near their lockers, and Ryoga quickly opened the door and pulled her inside with him. Echizen immediately locked the door and hugged [Y/N]'s body between his as if shielding her as the girls started to lurk outside, searching the area.
"Are you sure they went this way?"
"Yeah!"
"Who was that girl with Ryoga-sama? Did you guys get a glimpse?"
"No, but was that his girlfriend?"
"Perhaps not, she was one of the players of the camp"
The chatters outside started to slowly fade as they started to walk away from the locker room. As the outside became silent, he sighed.
"Uhm, senpai, I think you can let me go now" she mumbled.
"Oh, right, sorry" and he immediately let her go, but he was a bit glad that he was able to hug her like that.
[Y/N] suddenly sighed. "Seriously, why did you even drag me into this?"
He chuckled nervously. "Sorry, I got a bit carried away. You know how troublesome it is to run away from them"
She looked at him with curiosity. "Have they been chasing you since this morning?"
He sighed in defeat and nodded. "Yeah. It was very tiring"
[Y/N] pouted and grabbed something from her pocket and handed it to him.
"Hmm? What is this?"
"Well, you said you were tired. A bit of sugar would help your energy a bit. Plus it's orange-filled so I thought you'd like it"
Ryoga blinked multiple times as he couldn't believe what just happened.
"Ehh? Are you serious?"
[Y/N] innocently nodded. "Don't you like it? I'll eat it then" and she was about to grab it back but Ryoga raised his hand out of her reach. "Nope. No backsies. This is mine now~" he sang and chuckled in delight. "Wow. I didn't expect this."
She raised her eyebrows in confusion. "I don't understand. What's wrong with giving a chocolate-orange candy?"
He chuckled and shook his head as he opened the snack. "Nothing. I'm just very happy. Itadakimasu" and he popped it in his mouth, humming as he tasted the chocolate.
"Wow. This tastes good. Have you tried it?"
She shook her head. "Nope. I just had that one"
"Oh, then we can probably share"
"Eh? How? There's only on—" and she was cut off mid-sentence when Ryoga landed his lips on hers, cupping her cheeks as he started to open his mouth, sharing the candy to her mouth.
"Mhmm. So sweet" he purred in satisfaction. "W-wait!" She was about to complain, but she wasn't able to pull away as Ryoga pulled her body in his, sharing the intimate moment more and more. The candy between their mouths kept coming back and forth as their tongues played with the candy.
After a few minutes of making out, they both gasped out of air. Ryoga placed his forehead on top of hers.
"That was the best valentines' chocolate I ever received," he whispered and glanced at [Y/N], who, to his surprise, was blushing, making him widen his eyes.
"Oi, don't tell me... that was your first kiss?"
She shyly looked away, averting his gaze, which amused Ryoga and made him smile.
"Ohh, this is interesting. I'd be expecting more of this valentine's chocolate in the future then" and he winked at her, making her pout. "That was unfair! Plus, this is not happening again" she warned in a stern voice, making Ryoga make a smug face.
"Oh really, I'd like to see you try to suppress those feelings then" and he pinned her on the wall and started to kiss her passionately.
"Happy Valentine's Day, [Y/N]. Now, I'll be eating my sweets. Itadakimasu" and he continued to devour her as if her lips is the best chocolate out of this world.
