Devin paced back and forth trying to calm his nerves. Today was the day. Valentine's day of course, and the day he would propose to the love of his life.
He had told Sariya that they didn't have plans for valentine's day besides chilling at home and watching some movies. She was bummed, but she understood because Devin had a game the night before and knew he had to rest. But little did she know he was planning to propose.
Devin spent hours getting ready making sure he looked his best. He never really cared about what others thought about him, but when it came to Sariya he cared a lot. Spraying his Dior Sauvage cologne, and grabbing his YSL Shades and headed to Sariya's mothers house to pick her up.
He knew she didn't want to be at home all day, so he texted her mother and asked if she could take her to get her nails done and get massages, and a facial. Sariya didn't know this was Devins doing she just thought her mom was being nice because she knew Devin didn't want to do anything for valentine's day.
A wide smile grew on Sariya's face when a text from her boyfriend came through.
you have 20 minutes to get your sexy ass ready. look in your mom's closet for your outfit. happy valentine's day love❤️
She squealed excitedly and ran to her moms closet looking for her outfit. A beautiful red Valentino dress, and black red bottoms were laid out. she quickly grabbed her makeup bag and headed to the bathroom to get her makeup on.
10 minutes later she was done with her makeup. That was definitely her fastest record. After getting her dress on, she went to the living room and asked her mom to zip up her dress. "Mom did you know D had anything planned?" She asked. "What? No i didn't honey." She smirked knowing it was a lie. "Mhm."
Grabbing her purse and heels, Sariya took one last look in the mirror before heading to the front door the wait for Devin.
i'm outside.
"Bye Momma!" She announced closing the front door, and walking to Devins car. He walked out of his side and walked to the passenger side to open the door for his girl. "After you Miss." He opened the door and shut it once she entered. "So Armani, are you going to tell me where we are going?" She looked at him. "Well it wouldn't be a surprise if i told you, huh?"
After about a 20 minute drive later they started to get close to their destination. "Do you trust me?" Devin asked rubbing his hand on her thigh. "Yes babe a trust you." she answered. "Okay i'm going to put this blindfold on you." Devin grabbed a blind fold and tied it around her face. "You can't see anything right?" He said. "Nope not a thing." she replied. "Are you lying? How many fingers am i holding up?" He chuckled. "I promise i can't see anything!"

"Okay open your eyes." Devin smiled, taking the blind fold off her eyes.
Sariya just looked in aww. Devin took her to the dock that he asked her to be his girlfriend on. it was decorated with flowers and mini lights, and had the cutest little dinner setup. It was was beautiful.
Devins stood behind her, caressing her waist as she took the gorgeous sight all in, but little did she a marry me! sign was right behind her.
"Can you turn around for me baby?" Devin asked, trying to hide his nervousness. Sariya turned around and saw Devin start to get on one knee. Her heart skipped a beat, and started feeling her eyes get watery.
Devin took a deep breath and began, "Sariya Angelique Jackson. I've loved you since i was 18. The first day i saw you walk in the Rupp Arena i knew o had to make you mine. Thank you for the unconditional love that you show me everyday. The sacrifices you've made for me just to put a smile on my face will never be unappreciated. I love you with everything in me, having you by my side is what completes me, and i want you to be my forever. My sweet Riya, My Love, and My forever valentine. Will you do the honors of being my wife?"
Sariya's heart was beating so fast, she was overwhelmed with joy. She wiped the tears of her face and nodded, "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! I will marry you Devin." She squealed as He slid on the most beautiful ring on her left hand. "I love you so much Armani!" She brought him into a plump kiss. "I love you too baby!"
