"Your chaperoning, Sophomore sleepover?" Calyx questioned, the humour lingering within his tone, the phone pressed to his ear, as he navigated through halls of crowded students.
"Not if I can't find a sitter for Austin, but I told your mom I would, so." Georgia sighed heavily through the phone, the anxiety clearly affecting her more than she allowed others to view,
"I'll watch him darling." Georgia's head lifted in surprise at Calyx's spontaneous offer,
"Are you sure handsome? Y'know with work and everything I'd just assumed you'd be to busy?" Calyx shook his head the sight of his sister and friends obscuring his view of the exit,
"I'm sure, babygirl, it'll be a good chance for me to meet him, at least then I can know at least one of your kids likes me." Georgia giggled quietly on the adjacent end of the phone,
"I'm sure they'll both like you." Calyx scoffed rolling his eyes fondly,
"Yeah, no I'll take my chances with Austin, you at the office?" Georgia nodded keys clutched in hand, as she pushed through city halls doors, bright light assaulting her vision,
"I'm headed home now, just finished up for the day why?" Calyx smiled shoving books into his desolate locker,
"Cause I'm headed to pick you up, we are going out." Georgia cocked an inquisitive brow, curious,
"And where are you taking me handsome?" Calyx smiled genuinely, sighing contented,
"We are going shopping, I figured it time I treat you, since you refuse to treat yourself." Georgia smiled softly, the affection she held for Calyx surfacing, infecting her chest, as her eyes sparkled euphorically.
"Alright then, I'll see you soon handsome."
