When sibling rivalry comes to head to head with two twins; it's never a good sign. It all started at a party, well technically, it started right before our first college class. Before we get to start with that; how I became who I am, let's start from the beginning. My boyfriend of almost three years dumped me last semester in front of everyone. When I say everyone, I swear the aliens on the moon probably got a telegram sent to them. It was brutal. I went from the straight A student; smart as a whip to who I am today, at this very moment. We had walked hand in hand into the cafe; my brother and his delinquent friends were at their usual seat. Owen and I were heading to our section; where the popular students sit at. I was the captain of the dance team while Owen was the captain of the football team. Star quarterback. We were together since we were fifteen. We came to this college together along with the rest of the crowd. We built a name for ourselves and became the golden couple. I take my usual spot as Owen sits to me. After an awkward silence; his voice finally rang out in the quiet cafe.

"Ari, I can't be with you anymore."

His words froze my body. My heart felt like it was going to explode as it sank to the pit of my stomach. I looked at him in horror and confusion.

"W-www-hat?" I stutter out.

"We just need to go our own ways. We aren't... How do I put it? I just can't be tied down. Not by you." He says in a harsh tone.

"What the hell does that mean?" I snap.

"It means, you two are no longer together. And he's free game." Kelly the Captain of the cheer team says with a smirk. If only I knew what I know now, I would have wiped that smirk off with my sneaker.

"Goddamn it Owen. Just tell her the fucking truth!" Noah snaps from a table in the back of the cafe.

"Truth?" I ask as I look around our table and the rest of the cafe. Some held guilt, some with a look of confusion, some with murderous expressions, and some held a smirk.

"I've been cheating on you with Kelly for the last six months." Is all he says. Tears well in my eyes as I look between Kelly, my supposed best friend, and Owen.

"Awe is sweet perfect Ari going to cry?" Kelly mocks.

With her words, I wasn't going to break down and cry. I turn on my heels and run out the cafe. Before I could make it to the front door, soup and other disgusting dishes of food have been dumped on me. So for a solid year, I went from miss perfect with excellent grades to a girl I wouldn't have thought I'd be. I have average grades now, I party every weekend, and I fight a lot more than I have before.

"Let's make a bet, Aria." My brother says breaking me out my thoughts on the past.

"A bet?" I question my brother with a quirked eyebrow.

"A bet." Is all he says.

If I had known taking this bet would leave me more broken than before; I wouldn't have made this bet. I would have just laughed as I punched my brother for suggesting it. However, I took the bet. And here I am struggling to survive. Struggling with a more broken heart then I began with.
