"You can't back out the bet." Devin announces in front of all our group of friends.

Delilah has a smirk on her face, Em let's out a knowing snort, and Leslie coughs to hide her laugh. Spencer and Sam just don't try to hide their laughs. That's all you can truly hear in the hallway.

"I wouldn't back out of a bet. Even though we haven't even decided what it would be." I sass back with my own smirk.

"May the best sibling win." Sam chuckles out into a cheer.

From my spot and how I'm positioned, I can see Owen and Kelly walk down the hall. His arm is draped across her shoulders like he used to do me. That should still be me. My brother watches where my sights have went and immediately starts to cuss.

"Ari let me hit him already." Devin whines his complaints.

"I can't handle a whole damn semester without you Dev. So, no. No face bashing on my watch." I snap.

I walk away from my small group and brother and head into my Art and Literature Class. I want to become an editor, maybe an author but right now; editor will do. This is probably the only class I will take seriously this semester. The only class I'll actually do my work in and actually pay attention in. Like I said before, I went from excellent grades to passing by the skin on my teeth. The past year has been a struggle for me. Everyone around can see it. If they can't see it, they can surely smell it. I love reading and I love debating my opinions with other students. So, this class should be a breeze. That is until Noah enters the lecture hall, he will be a major issue. He is like a thorn to my side that I couldn't get rid of even if I tried. He's my brother's roommate. He shares a dorm apartment with Devin, Spencer, and Sam. How four guys can share a space is beyond me. I mean guys are smelly, messy, and horny toads. I would bet my left kidney; they have orgies in their dorm. The door slams open and speaking of the three devils themselves, my brother, Spencer, and Sam walk in shoving one another.

I guess this class is going to be a living hell and not a walk in the park like I thought.

Emilia, Leslie, and Delilah enter after the guys. Each one laughing at the shoving match in front of them. I literally, roll my eyes at these six individuals. Crazy how I had the popularity and the perfect boyfriend. Now, I have my group of six delinquents as friends and single for eternity it seems. I went good girl gone bad. No one talks to me anymore because I pushed everyone away; thinking they'd betray me too. That is until my brother started to become that annoying gnat that wouldn't go away. Soon after his five friends started to swarm around me with the leader of the gnats. As they are halfway up the stairs to take their seats, our professor walks in.

"You six are late." She yells out sternly.

Great, she is one of them.

Devin takes a seat next to Noah and the rest follow suit. I'm in the back row as they're a row below me. I guess they didn't see me up here on the throne. I mean, no one is around me back here but I don't let it bother me too much. I like being alone to where I can hear my brain cells crash into one another.

"We're going to talk about a novel today. And we'll talk about our opinions about it on Monday. That gives you exactly a week to read the novel I have chosen." She begins to instruct.

"Why must we have debates?" Spencer asks with his hand in the arm still.

"To get your brain cells flowing correctly. And to make sure you actually read the novel and not some movie inspired by the said novel." She snaps back in a sass voice.

Great! A bitch for a teacher.

"That would cause fights wouldn't it?" Noah questions.

If he didn't get under my skin so much; his Australian accent would have brought me to my knees. He always has to be right no matter what. Even if he is blatantly wrong. That's Noah for you.

"Alright, the novel we will be discussing is.... A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks. There's a movie on this one and if you come into this debate having not read the novel but seen the movie... You're in for a rude awakening." She says with humor in her voice.

"A chick novel! Seriously?" Sam whines out.

"You might get in touch to your feminine side, Sammy Boy." I laugh out.

Noah begins to laugh and his laughing causes almost everything inside me to snap. Forgetting why I couldn't stand him, how his laugh is sexy, how carefree his face looks right now. Almost. Until he opened his big ass mouth.

"Who would have thought the Prune had jokes."

If I could get away with murder, he'd be one hot dead male already.
