"Kasumi? Are you awake?" A small tattered girl looked to her close friend who was shivering under their makeshift blanket.
"Y-yeah," The taller girls voice was to quite and weak. Vesta cringed in worry at their predicament. Before Vesta could ask Kasumi another question a voice interrupted her.
"Well, what do we have here?" A short stubby man approached the two girls with a sinister look in his eyes.
"Are you the two thieves I heard about?" At the comment Vesta quickly stands up to put herself between the man and Kasumi.
"Leave us alone!" She yelled , using all her strength to summon some green fire.
"Fu-Fu-Fu, I guess the rumors were true." The man laughed before taking his top hat off and dipping into a dramatic bow.
"How would you two like a job? You'll be fed and dressed and have a roof over your two heads?"Vesta gulped but then glanced at Kasumi's weak form. Her answer was quick and rash. Without asking questions she answers.
"Yes"
