POV:Narrator

Puff had been bullied since the beginning of time. Or that's how it felt.
In primary school, he struggled to read, for he had bad vision.
In 3rd grade his parents got him glasses, but that didn't help with the bullying.
5th grade was shit. He was shorter than most of the 4th graders, and with his old shoes snd thick-rimmed glasses he was a target for bullying. To make it worse, his parents got divorced. His stepfather was a alcoholic and was the worst parent a kid could want. Puff and his older sister River ran away to live with their grandmother.
In 6th grade, things started to improve. Puff moved, and went to a new school. He was now in junior high, with the role of class clown.
In 7th grade he made his first friend, DeeJay. DeeJay was a nice guy, and introduced himself to Puff one day. They had been friends ever since.
In 8th grade a new kid moved to town. His name was Benetar. A tall british kid, with blonde hair covering his face, and secretly gay. A sure target for bullies. And one day, their paths crossed.
-8th grade, the locker area-
"Just give me my book back." DeeJay and Puff were making their way to lunch when they heard an argument. "Why should I?" Puff peeked around a corner to see a group of boys holding a leather book. A tall blonde was asking them for something. "That's my book. Give it back." he stated. Something inside Puff clicked. He hated seing kids being bullied after his experienced in primary school. Whenever he saw a kid being bullied, he tried to stop it. Most of the time he just got beat up, so DeeJay made sure he didn't interfere. But DeeJay was distracted, and Puff was mad. In the blink of an eye, Puff punched one of the kids. It was a weird sight, like an ant trying to fight a bear. Puff hit another one of the boys and he dropped the book. The blonde pounced on his book and held it like it might try to escape. "Shit!" DeeJay yelled. Puff was in danger. "PUFF RUN!" The three of them dashed into the cafeteria and blended in with the crowd.
They had been friends even since.
In 9th grade they all went to the same highschool. The beginning of the year, Puff obsessed over a girl named Tig. After that was over. They met a new kid, Axel. And after he met them, their lived changed forever.
