Driver wasn't what he would call an 'early riser'; If anything he was more of a night owl. It had just so happened he'd had a bit too much to drink, and it just so happened that he'd gone to bed early. He'd fully expected to wake up earlier than usual, given that he usually didn't sleep for longer than six hours at a time. What he wasn't expecting, however, was to find the vilzone boss of all people on his couch when he went to get breakfast.
"Um, Cass? You do know you have a bed here, right? You don't have to sleep on the couch."
Cassian let out a groan as he rolled over, burying his face further into his blanket.
"Mmm, wasn't sleeping," the teen yawned.
As the younger villain sat up, their blanket slipped from their shoulders, revealing messy black hair and tired-looking eyes. Even without his tech, Driver could tell it had been a hot minute since he'd slept. As to 'why'? He couldn't say.
"Ok, whatever you say," Driver shrugged." How do eggs and toast sound for breakfast then?"
Cassian replied with a muffled 'yes please' from behind his blanket and Driver turned to head for the kitchen, now on a quest for food, and meds for his hangover. Dang, he really went overboard this time, huh?

Cassian hadn't initially planned on staying the night at the vilzone after training, but after three nights of little sleep, he thought it would do him some good to try a change of environment. Though, he hadn't planned to crash with Driver initially. Some of the villains had their hearts set on a drinking contest (one which Cassian was sadly barred from entering) and he'd been stuck with getting a very drunk Driver home. He'd practically had to carry the old boss the whole way and by the time he'd managed to get him into a bed the couch practically had his name on it.
Contrary to his hopes, however, the change of location did little to ease the restlessness of his mind. It did, however, cause his stomach to rumble unhappily as he caught a whiff of the food that Driver was grilling up in the kitchen. He couldn't remember the last time he'd cooked something himself. Especially since he'd been too tired to bother anything more than the minimum the past few days. Granola bars and water had been enough for him, though now that he could smell it, he was really craving some actual food.
Despite his achy bones screaming for the comfort of the couch, Cassian pushed himself to his feet—blanket still draped around him—and made his way into the kitchen.
"Oh, there you are," Driver spared Cassian a quick glance when he sat down before turning back to try to fan away the smoke rising from the stovetop.
Judging by the smell, he'd definitely burnt something; It made his stomach roll. Cassian buried himself further into the blanket, resting his head against the cold table. Even if he couldn't sleep, he could at least rest his eyes for a while.
Cassian wasn't sure exactly how long he'd sat stewing in his thoughts, but eventually, he caught the sounds of footsteps; he glanced up from behind the blanket as Driver sat a plate of partially burnt eggs on toast in front of him.
Looking at the food actually in front of him now, he was suddenly not as hungry as before. Not to say that he disliked Driver's cooking or anything—he just suddenly lost his appetite. Still, though, Cassian wasn't one to waste food. And, not wanting Driver to feel bad, Cassian managed to force down a few bites after a couple of minutes.
"Jeeze, Cass you eat like a bird." Moros laughed from somewhere off to his left.
"Be quiet, you," Cassian grumbled, swatting at the annoyance.
