Micah
Alistair was one of the most annoying alphas I had ever come across. Every morning I came to work at the coffee shop, he made sure to take his sweet time to order the same five cups of large coffee. He even started to order himself a coffee with espresso in it. Of course, since he was an alpha, he needed it black because he had to show how macho he was drinking that nasty shit without anything in it.
"I think Alistair has the hots for you." Sherry bent over the counter, resting her hand on her palm.
"And he can shove them right up his ass," I replied, putting my towel down.
"What? He's kinda cute." Sher smirked.
"Then why don't you date him then." I huffed, slapping the rag down on the counter. "He's annoying and pretentious." Sherry threw her head back in laughter.
"Something tells me you like him."
"Over my dead fucking body." I rolled my eyes. Sherry continued her laughter until she turned red in the face.
"The look on your face." She pointed at me, continuing her laughter. "Whoo." Sherry wiped at the tears that began to form from her laughter. She tried calming herself down a bit, taking deep breaths. "C'mon Micah, I've never seen that man give so much attention to one person. At least I think he likes you."
"Yeah, no." I rolled my eyes. "Even if he really did like me, I would rather die than go out on a date with that pretentious asshole."
"Ohh Micah, he's not that bad. Plus, he's loaded. You could be taken care of for the rest of your life." She smirked.
"I'm not going to turn into some domestic omega, Sherry. I'd rather take care of myself. Do what I want, fuck who I want, and go where I want without asking some Alpha for permission." I crossed my arms, pursing my lips.
"You quite said the opposite a while ago," Sherry smirked, trying to back me into a corner.
"I don't know. I think I'd like to date a rich sugar daddy that's damn near their death than deal with someone like that asshole." I rolled my eyes, continuing my cleanup.
"I heard he's single."
"Technically, I'm taken, taken by whoever I want every night I work at the bar." I chuckled. "I don't think I'm a one cock man."
"Until you find that one special one," Sherry mumbled under her breath, grabbing a towel to begin to clean with me.
"Sherry, don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I'm thinking about taking a small vacation when my next heat cycle comes. I think maybe if I stop taking the BetaT for a month, it'd reset and work again." I responded. I had a feeling I knew where her conversation was going. She wanted me to find an Alpha, and quick so I didn't have to deal with the backlash of an unwanted mating. "So I don't think my omega stench won't try to make alpha's go feral."
