the next day, Naoka woke up and went downstairs to grab something to eat. She grabs a bottle of juice as her breakfast when suddenly she hears a familiar voice calling her name. "Hey Naoka!" she sees The Adoring Fan playing with the stove and looking happy as ever "good morning, Adoring Fan" she says in return as she places her plate on the table.
"what are you doing down here?" she asks confused and surprised as she watches the fan turn around slowly to face her "umm.... i wanted to cook something for you but these thing is very different than the oven" he admits. "you know what? i think it's better to leave it alone for now before my father sees it". Naoka says while laughing at him. "really?!" he asks surprised. "yeah... now go on. make sure you clean it properly or my parents will kill you" Naoka threatens teasingly. The fan nods in understanding as he leaves. After that Naoka took another bite of her food as she thinks about what to do today. she thought about going to visit Shoya but she's too tired today so maybe tomorrow? Then all of sudden she gets an idea as she takes her coat and heads to the door "where are you going now?" she hears the voice of The Adoring Fan.
"to visit my friend.." she answers simply "oooh great! can i come?" he asked in excitement. "nah, you have nothing to do with me anyway.." Naoka says dismissively "but i want to see your friend!" he protested. "why? because you like him? you dont even know who he is...." she stated. "nope! but to be honest... I LIKE YOU!" he yells excitedly, shocking Naoka into dropping her slice of toast, which fell onto the ground. "whuh-" "i like you! youre beautiful, you smile and laugh at everything, you have a great body, amazing manners, and you're a good listener!!! you could be perfect! Just like the Grand Champion that i adore!" he says with his arms spread open. Naoka stares in shock at him as he continued to talk "so tell me why can't you be mine? because no one can compare to my love for the Grand Champion! because he gave me hope, a chance to fight against those who hurt me, and a dream! and i want to protect my dream with my life! please accept my proposal!" he yelled as he grabbed her hand and kissed it, making Naoka blush and stutter. "w...wait.. what are you saying, huh?" she said, blushing furiously. "i've decided! I will follow the path of the Grand Champion! I shall fight against those who oppress others! And I'll take all of them down! No matter how hard they fight I won't stop until I defeat everyone! including the emperor! I will fight until I see justice done!!" he shouts passionately. Naoka stared with shock "huh.. wh.. how?" The Adoring Fan pulls out his Azura Star that he found on his pocket and shows it to her proudly "this Azura Star is a powerful soul gems, Azura's Star has the ability to trap souls, or those of creatures. These souls can be used for enchanting or recharging. Azura's Star will not disappear upon use, unlike other soul gems, allowing you to trap another soul after use." he explains with pride as Naoka stares at the star in awe "so you're telling me that.." she began "that you're gonna use Azura's Star against people?" Naoka questioned, astonished by the revelation. "ummm yes?" he replied unsure of why she looked so surprised by this revelation. "you're going against those who abuse others.." Naoka continued "of course, I understand your concern, I also feel bad about it, because I know there are those who deserve more attention but sometimes you must fight. I will always be by your side-" he starts only to get interrupted by Naoka. "are you serious? you're going to use an evil spirit to fight off your enemies?" she said shocked. "what? no! why would you think such a thing?!" he asked confused. "forgive me for being skeptical but.. if a spirit isn't evil, why did you hide it so well and try to keep me away from you?" she asks. "i had reasons, but its irrelevant anyways. All that matters now is that you accept my proposal!" The Adoring Fan exclaims excitingly. "i'm not ready for marriage yet" Naoka states calmly. "ahhh okay...i understand.. i just hope one day you'll change your mind" he sighs disappointedly as he looks at her "but you can be my gf" says Naoka "like... like a girlfriend? a partner?" he asks curiously. "yes" Naoka replied "and you should call me Naoka, my full name is Naoka Ueno" Naoka says, still calm. "Naoka Ueno.." he mutters quietly to himself, repeating her name over and over. "anyways, you can follow me to meet my other friend but dont tell him that we're dating" Naoka suggests "okay! sure! but when?" he asks excitedly. "as soon as possible" she responds "alright!" Naoka nods in agreement. "thank you, Naoka!!" The Adoring Fan bows before leaving the kitchen. Once he left she sighed loudly and continue to eat her breakfast. As she eats she couldn't help but smile as she remembers how much she loves him. Naoka finished eating quickly and bring Adoring Fan to Shoya home . "we're here" Naoka says while walking in front of him as he trails behind her. When they arrived at Shoya's house Naoka stopped in front of the door and knocks. A few minutes later she heard footsteps approaching the door and it opens revealing Shoya and Shouko together "ah, Naoka! welcome!" Shoya greeted with a warm smile, gesturing for Naoka to enter "Shoya" Naoka replied as Shouko let them inside . "Naoka!! Its been a long time since you visited, is this your fan that you're talking about?" Shoya said in surprise . "I guess you could say it" Naoka replied, turning to look at Adoring Fan "do not say that we're dating..." she warned him with a warning tone as she turned back to Shoya, "is this all right with you?" Naoka asks nervously. "it's fine with us, Naoka!! we've both been worried about you" Shouko said in hand gestures and comforting smile "well thanks. That means a lot...." Naoka replied smiling weakly. Adoring Fan looks at Naoka with confusion written clearly on his expression. What kind of relationship is Naoka and Shouko have? He never knew of their relationship before. He didn't ask her though, instead he kept quiet. He just wanted to see how long this could last and hoped he'd get a chance to interact with Naoka some more someday.
After some time spent chatting and relaxing Shouko brought out a small cake with blue frosting and red sprinkles. she placed the cake in front of Naoka and Adoring Fan. "By Azura! this looks different than Salmo.." Adoring Fan commented amazed looking at the beautiful dessert. "who's Salmo?" asked Shoya curiously "he's a famous baker from Skingrad! Even though his sweetrolls appear to be popular around town!" he exclaimed enthusiastically "ummm.. you're joking right?" Naoka asks as she turns to Adoring Fan. "Nope! i swear!!" Shoya replied. "what does he even bake?" she muttered under her breath. "it's his most famous creation! he makes all kinds of delicious sweets and desserts. It takes him years to make these recipes, so I've never tasted one." Adoring Fan explains happily . "you never told me you had someone from Skingrad that made sweets.." Naoka said softly as Shouko smiles and hands her a fork. "Well, it's been awhile since someone has tasted it, so i was hoping you guys would taste it!" "I don't know.." Naoka said hesitating as she slowly begins to cut a piece of cake and bring it up to her lips. She takes a bite and closes her eyes and lets out a soft gasp "it tastes so amazing! wow!" she exclaims, looking at Shoya, impressed. "ah! i knew it! you like it!!! Shouko made it for you" Shoya exclaims happily. "yeah yeah, whatever~" she says sarcastically as Adoring Fan interrupt the conversation between Naoka and Shoya . He clears his throat "sorry to intrude, but.. uhm.. who's the girl with the pink hair?" he asks politely. Shoya chuckles, "oh! sorry for not introducing her sooner! this is Shouko Nishimiya" Shoya explains "is she your girlfriend or wife?" Adoring Fan asked curiously. "no, we aren't actually dating. But, we do spend a lot of time together, so we thought 'why don't we go on a date'?" said Shouko in a hand gestures, making Naoka Jealousy (which Naoka hates) come back. "then... where are you going on this date?" Adoring Fan asked "uhmmm... i was planning it as a surprise.." Shouko admits "oh, i see. Well, that's alright then!" said Adoring Fan, Naoka could tell how happy hhe was from the way he spoke. Naoka felt jealousy once again as she continued watching them. Her eyes widen as she realized that Shoya was blushing. "Umm, excuse me.." Naoka interrupts Shoya and Adoring Fan and go outside without any warning . After a few seconds, Adoring Fan follows her and sees her sitting down on a bench, alone. "Hey! what's wrong?" Adoring Fan asked, worried that she might be upset "nothing.." Naoka replies, refusing to meet his gaze "did something happen?" he adds. Naoka remained silent until he sits beside her and places a hand on her shoulder. "Naoka? is something bothering you..?" Adoring Fan asks in concern as he stares at her. After a couple of moments Naoka finally says something but it comes out inaudible due to her trembling voice. "Naoka, are you crying?" he questions. "no..." Naoka says shaking her head furiously "then why are you trembling?" he asks gently. "I.." Naoka starts but stops and takes a deep breath before continuing "i am jealous of Shouko." she says. "Jealous?! Why?" Adoring Fan asks surprised. "because.. she likes him and i hate it" she replies angrily. "why.. because she likes Shoya?" Adoring Fan asks trying to understand what made Naoka jealous. "yes! because she likes him!! she can have him!!" Naoka exclaims frustrated, her eyes watering from her frustration. "you really are jealous" Adoring Fan says, smiling gently, placing a hand on Naoka's shoulder. "what's so funny?" Naoka says with a glare. "that you're jealous of your best friend and that he likes another girl" he says laughing. "shut up!!!" Naoka yells, pushing him away and hits the curb, causing The Adoring Fan unconscious on the ground. Naoka looks shocked by what happened but quickly gets up and picks up the unconscious man, "please.. wake up, please.." she mumbles, tears rolling down her cheeks. After a few more seconds, Adoring Fan wakes up. "What happened?" he asks confused, rubbing his eye and then noticing the unconscious boy lying on the ground. "n..nothing" Naoka answers shakily, wiping the tears from her face with her sleeve, "are you ok?" he asks concerned. "of course i'm ok! i'm always ok!" Naoka exclaims, giving him a glare. "then why did you run off?!" "because i'm angry! because i'm sad! because i'm angry!!!" Naoka shouts, tears forming in her eyes once again. "Naoka, calm down" he calmly said, putting a hand on her shoulder and caressing it with his thumb. Naoka sniffles and wipes away her tears, "alright.. I apologize.." she replies quietly. "don't apologize. it's fine. if you're heart is locked then i might have the key" he replies, smiling kindly at her. Naoka smiles weakly and nods. "are you sure you're ok now?" Adoring Fan asks once again. "yes... yes i'm ok now" Naoka replies nodding her head. "let's take our leave then" he replies. the two hold hands and walk back home. After arriving back to the house, they went straight into Naoka's room. As soon as Naoka closed the door behind her, Adoring Fan hugs her tightly. "It hurts that you're hurting so much! why did he choose her over you?" he asks, holding her tight. "I don't know... I Don't want to talk about it." and then the two start sleeping together in Naoka room, cuddling close to each other, while still holding hands.
