Chapter 2

"And this is the Ravenclaw common room in the sun is up." Samantha said to Seraphina.

Seraphina was amazed, the library was enormous, a spiral stair case in the middle and little desk and chairs around for students to lounge. It felt like home to her, she felt calm the minute she stepped into the Ravenclaw common room. It was quiet, a few students sat at the same table to go through spells and charms.

"Although I haven't seen what the other common rooms look like, I do truly believe this is the best one regardless." Samantha said.

"I agree." Seraphina smiled, taking in the scent of new fresh parchment that filled the air in the common room.

"Let's going going to have breakfast, charms starts at nine." Samantha said as she takes Seraphinas hand and drags her towards the direction of the great hall.

Over here, new transfer." A girl with a thick accent yelled for Seraphina in the back corner of charms classroom. Seraphina notices her and sits next to her along with the other new fifth year student.

"You're the other transfer, from Brazil?" The girl asked warmly.

"Why yes, your accent, I'm guessing your not from Britain are you?" Seraphina asked curiously.

"I'm originally from Uganda, I am also a transfer student but I came here last year. I transfered from Uagodou, it's nice to meet another student that is also a transfer. I'm Natsai Onai, but you can call me Natty." Natsai introduced herself.

"Seraphina Santos." She greeted kindly and shook Natsais hand.

"I'm Lucius Rosier." The new student greeted Seraphina.

"Nice to meet you, I heard you had quite a journey here yesterday. Im hopeful you are alright from the dragon attack."

Seraphina noticed the subject of dragons and accident seemed to trigger him slightly.

"Im sorry, I didn't mean to press. What I meant is I'm glad you made it to hogwarts." She attempts.
The boy shook it off with a smile.

"It's quite fine, it's all a bit of a blur honestly. I'm just glad Professor Fig and I made it out alive." He said warmly.

"Professor Fig?"Seraphina repeated confused.

"He is another teacher here. I'm sure you will get to meet him one point." Natsai said. They were interrupted as they heard a noise from above.
The man came down the stairs and looked at his students.

"Welcome to fifth year of charms, now this will be a crucial year of your charm work but I am confident we will take hold with passion rigour requisite of such a challenge. Everyone open text books to page 107. But before we begin, can anyone tell the difference between the incantations of the colour change and growth charms?" The professor asked. It only took a moment before Seraphina raised her hand.

"The incantation of a colour change is Colovaria while the growth incantation is engorgio." Seraphina answers.

"Ah excellent, perhaps the incantation of the summoning charm? Another student to answer?" The professor encourages.

"Accio." Seraphina whispered, in which Lucius heard her say and took it upon himself to answer.

"Accio." Lucius answered hesitantly.

"I saw her whisper it but that is the correct incantation, as for everyone else I suggest you start revising before your end of year exams. However, points to Ravenclaw." Professor Ronan said, a few Ravenclaw students in the class cheered for their new housemate. However a Slytherin student whispered to her friends.
