Yoongi didn't like what was happening. His vision of Namjoon is breaking into pieces and he doesn't like the change that was happening. Not atleast when he was pouring his goddamn tea.
Namjoon was talking to his plants, that he named too- Maehwa-agi, Da-yookie, Cherry, Jjin Jjin and Ori. He was dressed in one of the largest shirts and a pair of boxers, not anything out of ordinary but Yoongi felt his world getting destroyed. Namjoon was dressed in cozy, oversized, pastel colours! If that wasn't enough, he had the biggest pair of glasses on and his hair was astray that made him look like a dork, and unfortunately not in a bad way.
Yoongi didn't realize he was staring until Namjoon met his eyes and immediately he averted it, feeling his heart pace a bit faster than usual and his face heat up.
"Yoongi?" Yoongi's head snapped up and his hand accidentally hit the hot cup of tea on the kitchen counter. Some of the tea fell on his hand and he couldn't help but yelp. "Ah!"
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. Just- continue."
Namjoon looked at him, a bit bemused but shrugged. "I was saying, I've been freeloading for a few days now. If I can help someway- like pay for the rent or groceries, and like share the chores... or I-"
"You don't need to. I'm perfectly capable of providing for both of us."
Namjoon huffed, his eyes wavering. "First of all, stop cutting me off when I talk. Second, I might be a big bad villain or something but I still have a conscience. As much as you can afford it all, I can't keep doing this, I owe you a lot."
Namjoon looked at him to find Yoongi looking genuinely confused. It was kinda.... cute. "You don't owe me anything."
"I do!"
"No, you don't," Yoongi said gently, his voice so soft that it did something to Namjoon. "You don't owe me anything. If anything, I'm the one who owes you."
Namjoon found himself gaping at Yoongi who looked away, a bit bashful. "After what you said that day, I realized none of it was your fault, all this time. I was the one blinded by loyalty but I suppose my friends and I- we really forgot what we really started out for, where our loyalty really should lie. I've gone by the rulebook but never went beyond to look what the real root of the problem was."
When Yoongi looked at him, Namjoon looked down, not having the strength to keep an eye to eye contact. Yoongi continued, "You don't owe me anything. I owe you. I owe you a lot for actually showing me what happened behind our backs when someone else is painted the villain. It wasn't your fault, it never was. It was all mine."
Namjoon sucked in a large breath. "What- Is this some kind of apology now?"
Yoongi cleared his throat, clearly embarrassed. "Take it as you wish."
Namjoon was silent, for almost a whole minute until Yoongi dared to look up. He was smiling. It wasn't a full-blown one, just a small one, suppressed to reduce its blow. Dimples appeared on his cheek, the left one deeper than the right one.
Namjoon briefly met his eyes and looked away again to mutter. "Thank you, hyung."
The burn in his hand from the tea was nothing compared to the hard thumping in his chest.
Yoongi couldn't help but feel that Namjoon was beautiful when he smiled.

"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!"
"Trust me! They'll not hurt you, they won't even touch you. I promise!"
