Forever and Always

'Cupcakes' for Kath :)

I lifted myself off the bed, walking towards the shattered glass on the floor, the picture frame. Picked up the glass cautiously, but then a cut was placed on my wrist.

"Need a band aid?" his voice rang in my ears.

I slowly turned, shaking my head. "No it's small anyway."

I gave him a weary smile before picking up the glass again. The memories came back as I remembered what happened yesterday, he saved me.

Flashback:

"Look, I don't care! You practically left me! Get out of my house!" I screamed at my ex, Rex.

"Look, Kath, you don't understand. I know you want me back, so I'm giving you the chance." he told me.

"No, I'm with Cupcakes!" that sounded weird.

"Cupcakes? You guys have a nick name for each other. That's dumb."

"No, your stupid!"

"Please."

He took me by the shirt, pulling me to him. I tried to get away before his drunken action of kissing me actually happened. I pushed him, hard, as he stumbled. He began feeling angry, taking a picture of Cupcakes and I, throwing to the floor. I reacted immediately, crouching down to pick up the picture, but he stomped on my hand. I got on my back, crying in pain as he came. He rescued me. Before I opened my swollen eyes from tears, I didn't see anything, only Rex and on the floor. Thank you so much baby!

Flashback Ends, Reality:

"Thank you." was all I said, hugging him.

"Forever and Always." he said, hugging me, taking my hand.

"Forever and Always." I took his hand, nodding with a smile.

We walked off, downstairs as I thought of all the times. The times we spent. Our first date, our first kiss, our first everything.

Narrator's POV:

Kath and Cupcakes lived forever and always. They accomplished everything that a broken couple couldn't. They had a child, Lorenzo, who became as successful as his parents. Kath and Cupcakes were able to have another child, but denied the deal. After that, Kath died a year before Cupcakes. When Kath wasn't there, Cupcakes was still single. He couldn't live without her. Then, they lived Forever and Always, still roaming the world as spirits at midnight. People say, if you see a beautiful blur with a cut on her wrist, holding a man's hand, that's Kath and Cupcakes. ~Forever and Always~
