It has been 10 days since the new guys got settled in and much as changed during that time, the first being the command center being built.

Flash back 9 1/2 days ago

Finally it was ready, as the newly employed operators slowly made their way to the main control room, I'd walked around and marveled at the command center building. It was truly a feat to build it which took longer then any other of the current builds and it was 4-7 times the size of a barracks.

The main entrance was a simple doorway and led to a small lobby area, custom to accommodate several appliances(my money was on vending machines)

The main entrance was a simple doorway and led to a small lobby area, custom to accommodate several appliances(my money was on vending machines). The lobby  would then split and lead to different rooms. most of them were filled with computers. One of the rooms was actually a small hanger to house damaged or unused Scv's, the large doors angled strategically to open from the back of the command center. That way there was a guarantee in the limit of hit- and run accidents if the base's gets busy.

A stair case led me up to the second floor, consisting entirely of only one room: Central control. Men and woman were chatting as they sat down at the deactivated stations, the screens dimly reflecting the small amount of light  in the room. The centers signature Terran adjutant laid offline in the center of the room, facing the small windows. The room slowly fell into silence as I walked to the fount , staring at the main screen covering parts of the window.

"Electric systems are ready sir" Baird said "On your command, power will come on line"

"Well, then what are we waiting for? Let's get this show on the road! Get that power online!" I said as I turned and grinned into the dim room.

"Yes sir!" Baird and the operators chorused and all of them began meddling with various switches and buttons at their respective stations. with a hum, the command center came to life. The various monitors flickered blue before their operating systems kicked into effect, turning  the screens into variously colors as every system booted up.

The adjutant in the middle of the room began moving slightly, still booting up. The iconic face opened to reveal its startling mechanical insides, the gears and metal twitching to ensure accurate expression. The attaching wires started sparking, but I kept close to the AI, completely believing in its capability's but I did have Baird and Mei on standby just in case....and I was rewarded for my faith.

" Adjutant Sierra 117 online, good morning commander. This command center is fully operational and is ready for assignment.  What are your orders?" The adjutant emotionless asked, it's lips moving in sync to its voice.
