Chapter #2

Ruhana is surprised to find Vineet in a good mood. He’s up early in the morning and is in the kitchen romancing his wife. He’s chuckling and humming songs while laying at the dining table for breakfast. Ruhana is astonished to find him and she knows that he’s up to something. Well, Valentine's Day is coming soon and he’s up to something.

Ruhana serves him coffee and breakfast and he’s checking his phone. She’s gazing at him while he’s busy with the task at hand. He’s still humming songs while she’s not able to move her gaze away from him. Well, it’s been the same since the first time they met. He’s been ever so handsome, cute and shy — all at the same time. And she’s unable to look away from his handsome face.

She feels a kind of peace when she looks at him. She feels safe in his embrace and her heart feels full when he’s around her. The only thing that irks her is that he never tries to show his love or say, he doesn’t surprise her at times. It’s been three years of their wedding, but he’s done nothing on Valentine's Day for her. Before their wedding, they used to go to hotels to celebrate, that’d be her idea only. And for three years, he’s being his normal self. Always, it’s only Ruhana who’s doing different things and surprising him on valentine’s day.

This year, it’s a little different. Vineet is up to something surely. She wants to know the reason and so she looks at him.

“Vineet, is everything okay?” Ruhana asks while looking at her beloved.

“Yes, babe! Why do you ask?” Vineet asks, looking at her.

“Nothing, it’s just that you’re being different from your usual self. Do we have something at our office today?” She asks him, he may tell her the real thing.

“No. I told you no, you’re special.” Vineet smiles mischievously at Ruhana.

“Yeah, but you’re not what you always be like.” She says, wanting him to reveal the surprise.

“You only said, you will love it if I change some of my ways.” He looks at her, locking his eyes with her.

“Yeah, that’s true. I’d love it. But right now, you’re up to something, please tell.” Ruhana asks, she’s eager to know the surprise.

“No no! That’s a secret, love. I won’t tell. You will see for yourself. But for now, please get ready.” Vineet says with a naughty smile spread across his face.

“Huh, where are we going?” Ruhana asks as she stands up from her chair.

Vineet holds her wrist and pulls her such that she crashes into his chest and sits in his lap. She wraps her arms around Vineet’s neck and pecks his lips lightly.

“Well, you are in a good mood. You tell me what’s in your head?” she asks.

“You! You’re always there and here as well.” He says keeping his hand on his chest.

“Shut up Vineet. I know you’re changing subjects. Please tell !” She says while looking at her.

“No, that’s correct. You’re behaving like CID.” Vineet makes a face.

“Hey! You’re not telling me the right thing to me. That’s wrong, Vineet.” She whines at the moment.

“Don’t be a crybaby, Ruhana. You’ll get to know everything on time.” He says softly.

Ruhana looks at him and is about to speak but he shushes her as he locks her lips with his. He pulls her into a passionate smooch, her hands pacing up and down on his back. She whines as he bites her lower lip, taking a chance to enter her mouth. She moans his name under her breath as he continues to smooch her passionately. His one hand is on her waist while another hand is cupping her face. The only sound audible was the rhythm of their lips making the environment aromatic.

She pulls away from the kiss as she’s out of breath at the moment. They sigh and as their gazes meet, they smile and Ruhana hugs him, hiding her face in his broad chest.

“I will always love you, Vineet. In the way that you are. I promise.” She murmurs in his ear.

“I promise to love you forever, Ruu. And yes, something awaits you. But for now, we got to hurry.” He says.

Her eyes twinkle with joy, she’s right, he’s planning something for her. She smooches his lips again and rushes to get ready. He smiles to herself seeing her rush away. With him beside her, she wants to be cradled and smooched and he loves it as well because she returns the double amount of what he gives to her.

He makes a silent promise to keep her happy and be the man she wants him to be.
