Hey y'all! As promised I'm finally updating. Sorry for the delay I've been insanely exhausted from the new job. Enough chatter from me. Enjoy!
*Gabriel*
Ugh. I might actually have to work out here. I just ate my weight in fried shrimp. It was so fucking worth it though. Popcorn shrimp, coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail, and shrimp alfredo. Way too much shrimp. I don't want to see another one for weeks. I think between the ten of us, twelve the way Silas and North eat, we cleaned out half the menu. Finally what I've been waiting for all day.
"Gabe! We have to go to the Hershey store first!" Luke yelled, bounding ahead of me with Trouble not far behind.
Blasted mother fucker! How am I supposed to dress Trouble if we keep making all these pit stops? I love chocolate as much as the next 16 year old guy, but damn it I have work to do. These stores don't stay open forever.
"It won't take long fashion genius, I promise. Just some snacks for the week and chocolate chips for pancakes," he replied, skipping down the street towards the gigantic "Hershey's" sign.
North grunted, "Lucian, we just ate! How the hell are you already thinking about food? And damn it we're not eating chocolate every morning our entire trip!"
Silas rolled his eyes and slapped North on the back, "Relax North, let aggele have some sweets if she wants them. It wouldn't kill you to have one or two yourself."
Sang grinned widely, "Please Northstar, we won't get that much. I'll even remember to floss."
Kota and Nathan snorted flagrantly. I guess a little detour is worth it to piss off North. I squeezed Sang's cheeks together, "30 minutes Trouble then we have outfits to buy."
She nodded fervently practically bouncing up and down. I wonder if she even needs that sugar high. We maneuvered around a pack of teeny boppers and entered the chocolate paradise. This place is North's worst nightmare and his grimaces are making this detour ten times more worth it. LITERALLY, there is candy everywhere.
Stacked on shelves, in decorated canisters, in glass cases, attached to M&M stuffed animals...I mean every fucking where. I caught a little boy not more than five with his jaw hanging open before he shook loose of his mother's grip and bounded for the nearest wall possible. My best friend was right next to him just as excited. Sang picked up King Size Hershey's milk chocolate bars turning them over in her tiny hands while chewing on her bottom lip. She couldn't decide and was only in the front of the store. An attendant approached her and offered a basket that she gratefully accepted then dragged Luke over to the glass cases.
"Not going to join in the fun, Gabe?" asked Kota, approaching me from behind.
Nathan and Vic found chocolate licorice and were filling small plastic bags full of them. Silas tossed a bag of peanut M&M's in Sang's basket while the doc picked out what I hope was a stuffed animal for Sang. North was grumbling to Mr. B about how Luke needed to be put on a diet before he got diabetes. I guess I was just standing around looking awkward.
"I was just taking it all in. Not sure what to do first," I replied, running a hand absentmindedly through my hair.
He frowned briefly, but quickly recovered, "I saw a candy mixer machine in the back. Take Sang and check it out. I think she'll like it." I nodded, standing on my toes to see it over the throngs of people.
"Oh and Gabriel. No one is really angry with you about earlier. I mean maybe North is a little grouchy, but it won't last. Don't be afraid to tell Luke to calm down either. You know he gets excited about this kind of stuff," he added, putting a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
