I run on top of various buildings rooftops jumping from ledge to ledge looking for stray pristins, evil creatures that kill the innocent, they give us other clans a bad rep.

Everyone thinks we are horrible creatures, but we are the ones that go after the evil ones along with hunters

But hunters don't understand we were not all the same, so they went for good ones like me without even realizing we were on the same side.

So I must also avoid hunters.

If they saw me they'd kill me in a second and I couldn't allow them to do that so ultimately I'd have to kill them as well. Suddenly, I was pulled out of my thoughts hearing commotion and yelling far in the distance.

In an instant I quickly ran over to where I heard the noise and as I ran in the night the cold wind ferociously blew against my skin as I jumped from roof to roof.

My feet hitting the ground hard, as I ran as fast as I could the noise drew near until

finally, I jumped to a ledge near where I heard it. I peered over the small cement wall

and saw a hunter being attacked by a pristin

She was losing. I wanted to help her but I noticed she was a hunter and I should have walked away and not bothered, not interfering with the situation.

But something in me couldn't allow the fragile woman to be killed by the man reaching for her throat.

I quickly jumped down from where I was, my feet hitting the ground hard, but silently. I took slow and silent steps towards the man that was attacking the woman.

He was far too distracted to notice me drawing near, and once I was close enough in a swift motion I quickly ripped the monster off the woman. Seeing him shocked from the quick motion that happened before his eyes made a smirk grow on my face.

I forcefully grabbed his head in my hands as I tried breaking his neck, but before I could he kicked me in the stomach sending me flying back. So he was obviously one of the stronger pristins

But since he was starving he was lacking strength which gave me the upper hand.

I grabbed some dirt and rocks and balled them in my fist, and in a flash I threw the

dirt in his eyes and grabbed his head once again.

I forcefully twisted it, snapping his neck killing him instantly. I dropped his heavy body down and a loud thud rang out.

I smiled knowing I had used a very petty attacking method. But it got the job done and I was satisfied. Well, I was until I heard a click and felt the cold barrel against my head. I put my hands up and turned around to face the hunter.

"Why did you do that?" her voice rang out, making me grin at her "just doing my job pretty lady" I replied to her doing a little theater-type bow. She scoffed, rolling her eyes, and continued to point the firearm at me.

I knew I had to play this safe, I couldn't be killed here and now. I had promised my daughter I'd make it home.

I told her I'd tuck her in and watch Spongebob with her.

I couldn't die, not tonight but even so I continued to play around and smile at the hunter.
