[pov switched]

I walked over to my daughter's room to check up on her and saw that she had been having a full-on conversation with herself.

Which wasn't that odd to be honest, she has been doing this quite often so I just try to ignore it.

I knock on my daughter's open door "hey what are you doing?" I asked her with a smile.

"Just talking to selise" she said confusing me, I walked over to her and squatted down to her level.

"Who is selise?" I said in a questioning manner.

"She is my friend that lives in my head" she said, as if it was nothing "oh well tell her I said hi" I smiled at her, she must have an imaginary friend.

I assumed it was common at this age.

"Ok, I told her and she said hi back" she said and I gave her one last small smile, before walking out of the room and going to the living room.

I see my friend, Tiffany who had been living with me for quite some time now. Sitting on the couch, Tiffany helps out by watching Elkie, my daughter, while I'm gone on patrol.

"Good morning" I said to her but instead of responding she just waved back

"So, where were you last night?" she asked me questioningly "I was on patrol but something happened"

I said as I sat down on the couch "ooh-tell me girl" she said giving me her full attention.

"Well this hunter was being attacked, and I don't know, I couldn't let her just die, so saved her" I say as my voice got smaller and smaller in fear of her being angry.

"Oh? What was so special about her" she asks teasingly. I groan and say "nothing I just couldn't see a human die, hunter or not" I say with a firm voice, trying not to fall into her teases.

"I know your lying, just tell me" she says whining.

"Ok ok fine I had a feeling in me not to kill her I don't know what it was, its like I forgot she was a hunter so I just couldn't let her die" I say quickly trying to get it all out as fast as possible.

"Girl, go find her she could be really important to you I've been reading,
and it said somewhere that we get this feeling in us when we found the right person, now its not clear what they are for though they could be a lover, a best friend or something else but she might be important, go find her"

she says pushing me off the couch

"Alright alright but you gotta watch winter" I say to her

"you know I will" she says finally.

And with that I make my way out of the house to see the dark sky and shining stars I breathe in the cold air and watch the white cloud form as I breathe out.
