AVAS POV

"AVA!!" i hear someone call out my name. i can instantly tell it's my best friend eleni, but she never gets up this early. i can hear her footsteps as she appears at the door.

"where were you!?" she asks as chris and nick come to greet me.

"i was applying for some jobs." i answer as i walk past them into the kitchen. it was kind off messy but i ignored it.

"i'm starving-" i say as matt comes down the stairs. he looks a bit confused but walks over.

"who wants to go out to the diner for breakfast?" i ask turning to face everyone.

"sorry i've got to get ready." eleni says while sitting down. chris and nick also says no because our moms sent them to get the groceries.

"matt wanna go?" i ask him.

"yeah sure!" he nods in agreement. i make myself an iced coffee quickly so we can leave.

"alright let's go! and chris, what time is nathan and asonti coming over?" i ask starting to walk out the door again.

"uhh 11 so be back at like 10." he says. we say goodbye and start walking to the diner. the walk was peacefully quiet with the occasional talking, it was nice.

1 HOUR LATER

"alright i think we should leave now, it's 10 and chris said to be back by then." i say finishing my last piece of bacon. matt nods as he also finishes his chocolate pancakes. we get up, pay the bill, and leave.

"wait can we stop at the ice cream store please?" matt asks grabbing my arm, as i turn to face him.

"but izzy's is like way back there.. i'm not walking back" i say trying to keep walking.

"no no no there's one like over here! it's called.. sundae? i think." as he points to a shop down the street.

"alright sure we can go but we have to be quick"

it was not quick. matt took 20 minutes to choose an ice cream flavour and by that time it was almost 11. we basically ran back to the house, and when we got back asonti and nathan were already there.

"uhh hey guys.." i say as we run into the house with our ice cream. they all turn their heads from where they're sitting in the kitchen and look confused.

"where the fuck were you guys?" nick asks looking us up and down.

"well, matt wanted ice cream so we stopped and then he took 20 minutes to pick a flavour."
eleni laughs at that as nick just shakes his head.

"hey asonti! hi nathan!" i greet them as i take off my sandals.

"how long are you guys staying for?" asonti looks at nathan waiting for him to answer.

"uhh.. like 2 weeks- if that's alright with you all." he says and i nod. we talk for a bit but i just go upstairs with matt.

"so what should we do?" i ask matt who's sitting on my bed beside me. he thinks for a second before he starts speaking.

"well since it's only 11 we should go to this water park! it's an hour drive i think and it's open at 12 so we'll be there in time." he grins widely at me.

i laugh "well how are we supposed to get there? everyone downstairs is gonna be suspicious of why we keep leaving the house."

"uhmm... we can sneak out?"

"we can't sneak a car out.. and plus they would notice immediately." he pouts slightly at my words. i keep laughing.

"ooh, we can bring them with us!!" he starts smiling again.

"alright let's go ask then, but you're asking!" i start to get up.

"ugh fine"
