"So you guys aren't dating?"
"No." I answered Lia for what seemed like the hundredth time.
She forced Maya and I out the house because she said my baby needs some vitamin c or else she's gonna be pale. So we've been doing a few laps around my neighborhood. It does feel good to be outside but I've been being careful because Maya's pediatrician says her HIE comes with a weakened immune system. Fortunately, Devale is back in New York. If he were here he wouldn't even had let me outside. He instructed me not to let anybody come in the house before taking their temperature, making sure they wash their hands, and if they've been out the country they need to quarantine. It feels like Coronavirus just hit my house or something. But baby's health comes first so whatever I need to do to protect her, I will.

"What do you think is going to happen when he gets back to New York?" Lia asks me.
I shake my head, "Him and Khadeen are over. I actually heard them arguing on the phone last night while I was fake sleeping. He was in the bathroom." I tell Lia making her eyes widen. "Yeah. She called him every name in the book including a bad father." I say shaking my head.
"Which he is not."
"At all." Lia and I agreed. "I just think-"
"Don't even say it." Lia cut me off. "You are not the reason that they are getting a divorce." She said with her hand up.
I sigh deeply, "Everyone keeps telling me that. I find that hard to believe." I say looking down at my daughter. "I just think they would've made it if it wasn't for me."
I heard Lia scoffed and it made me turn my head.
"What?" I ask confused.
"Girl if it wasn't going to be you, it would have been someone else." Lia mumbled. "A little birdie told me that Devale was cheating on Khadeen before you guys even became a thing." She said as we both stopped walking.
"And you believe it?"
"Reliable sources." Lia said shaking her head. "Crystal I'm happy if you're happy. But if you want to be with him then be with him. There is no time in life for a grey area. Grey areas just cause trouble and heartbreak." Lia said shaking her head.
