Bella was mad all day. Her parents tried to know the reason, but she wouldn't say anything. Melissa was with her the whole time. Since it was the norm of their friendship to be with Bella wherever she went.
Bella was throwing a fit and Melissa was unable to hold her. She tried calling Jay but his phone wasn't connecting. Melissa began to wonder where Thelma was. Just as she was about calling her, Thelma walked in. Melissa sighed and walked towards her angrily.
"Where the hell have you been all day?"
Thelma stuttered.
"I i-i was at school."
Melissa's mouth fell open.
"School? Come with me, you're gonna get it from Bella!"
Thelma shivered as they went into Bella's room. Bella was sitting on the floor, facing the ground. As soon as she heard them walk in, she raised her head to reveal her puffy, blood red eyes. Thelma took in the appearance of the room, and was speechless. Bella's princess room was in disarray. Moreso herself. Bella was the type of girl that kept her beautiful appearance no matter what happened. Ignoring her fear, Thelma went close to her.
"Geez...Bella are you okay?"
Bella casted a spell and in two seconds, Thelma was hung mid-air. She held her throat and gasped for air. Melissa was afraid Bella was going to kill her.
"Bella, Christ! That's enough."
Bella couldn't hear her. As she was totally lost in rage. She yelled at Thelma.
"You!
You traitor! I picked you up, washed you, and made you my friend. Yet you betray me like this? How dare you go to school while i languish in pain at home."
Thelma tried to beg for mercy. But she couldn't get the words out. She was choking on her own breath.
Melissa continued to plead on her behalf.
"Please Bella, have mercy. What's more important to you right now, killing Thelma or getting Jay back?"
At the mention of Jay's name, Bella dropped Thelma on the ground with a heavy thud. Thelma was coughing out blood as she tried to catch her breath.
Bella warned her.
"Serves you right Traitor! The next time you pull shit like this, I'll kill you for real!"
Melissa stepped between the both of them.
"As much as i'd love you to punish Thelma for her wrong doings, we should end it here. From now on, we should focus on you getting Jay back."
Bella sighed, and plopped down on her bed.
"So, do you have any idea on how to do that?"
Melissa smiled mischievously.
"Well, didn't you say he wanted the both of you to remain just friends?"
Bella nodded.
"Then it's set. You're not gonna bother him into coming back to a relationship with you. You're just gonna be his friend. His very good friend."
Bella frowned.
"What are you saying? You want me to pretend i'm okay with us being just friends? Melissa, that won't work."
Melissa still continued to smile.
"Of course girl, it will work."
Thelma interfered this time.
"That's not gonna be possible. You know as the chosen lord of the Druids, he's gifted with Telepathy. He's gonna see through Bella. Besides, this is treason Melissa! You're betraying the chosen one of our race."
Melissa hissed.
"Shut up traitor! He betrayed Bella first. Besides, you don't know what i know."
Bella was interested now.
"What do you know?"
Melissa smirked.
"Well, i heard from Nolan that Jay's mind reading gift isn't stable. Infact, he doesn't have a proper mastery of it yet. Till the night of his ordination, he won't be able to make proper use of those powers."
Bella smiled.
"Excellent! We still have four months till Jay's ordination. Hopefully by then..." Her smile turned into a sly one. "i would have crept back into his heart again."
She pulled Melissa into a hug.
"Mel, damn! You're a genius."
Melissa was very happy to help.
Thelma was not in the least, happy with this plan. But she did not dare say a word. Bella would really kill her this time.
