The clock struck twelve as the player marched through door 101 on floor two.

The sound of footsteps alerted a certain entity. "Did you hear that, Silence?" Depth asked.

"That's just Greed getting a snack in the kitchen." Silence murmured from the shadows.

The sound of a door opening, and then suddenly... WHAM!
The sound of metal hitting a wooden floor.

"That's definitely not Greed." Depth declared. "I'm going to take a look, whether you like it or not."

Depth moved swiftly through the hallway, scanning for any signs of other entities. But what met his gaze was shocking. "A...human?" Depth whispered to himself. "But that's not- it can't."

The player turned to face depth, holding a key in its hand.
"Oh. Hello."

Depth didn't know whether he should attack the player or be terrified. He had never seen a human before. How should he deal with it?

"W-what are you doing with that key?" Depth asked nervously.

"Well. What do you do with keys?" The player rolled their eyes. "Unlock doors, of course." The player started making their way towards door 104. "Besides," they added. "Took me ages to find it."

MEANWHILE, BACK ON FLOOR 1...

THERE WAS A SERIOUS MEETING BETWEEN THE ENTITIES.

"I just can't believe it." Ambush said in disbelief. "The player actually made it to floor 2!"

"It can't be that bad." Jack said. "Worst thing that could happen is that they made it out of the hotel."

"I have an idea." Screech grinned from the shadows. "Let's go to floor 2."

"Are you out of your mind?" Eyes growled. "We have no idea what's up there!"

An argument broke out between all the entities, some were pointing fingers and others were throwing insults at each other.

"Alright that's enough!" Seek raised its voice over the commotion. "Now if you could just listen, all of you! I have a plan that doesn't involve arguing."

The entities were silent, all eyes were on Seek.

"There is only one of us here that also lives on floor 2." Seek said, his tone serious. "You all haven't noticed, but they are in this room right now."

Confused expressions formed on the entities faces as they looked around. All of them except Jack, of course. He was leaning against a closet, a knowing grin on his shadowed face.

"This is ridiculous." Ambush grumbled. "Who is it?"

"They must be invisible." Rush scratched his head in thought.

Seek frowned. "Oh don't be such idiots."

Seek turned to face Jack, who nodded swiftly before tapping the ball tip of his cane against the closet door three times. "It's alright, Hide. You can come out. Don't be nervous."

After a few moments of silence, the closet doors slowly creaked open and out stepped a dark figure with round white eyes. When it saw all the other entities staring, it quickly hid behind Jack, eyes peeking out from behind his back.

"This is Hide." Jack introduced the entity. "They are very shy and don't like showing their face." He explained.

"And Hide happens to be a big part of our plan." Seek added. "You see, there are closets upstairs. Which gives us an opportunity to spy on what's going on up there."

Rush groaned. "Seriously? We're sending an introvert up there? I'd rather storm up there myself and raid the rooms."

Eyes nodded. "I agree. It can't be that dangerous."

Seek shook his head. "You have no idea what's up there! For all we know the player could have found the crucifix!"

There was silence. Every entity feared the crucifix.

"Fine." Eyes said. "Let's go with your plan."

FLOOR TWO

Hide hopped from closet to closet, peeking out between the narrow crack between the doors for a sign of any movement. They didn't find a clue until they reached a certain closet located in room 113. There were voices:

"Ugh! Get out of my way! You're supposed to be trying to kill me, not block me!"

"I don't like what you are doing, human. Where do you think you are going?"

"I'm sorry. But I'm going to have to do this."

Hide was peeking out of the closet as a bright light shone and the sound of chains clinked and echoed through the room.

Whatever entity that was, it was gone...
