Y/n clutched onto her stomach as the Robes descended from their towers. Marcus offered her a hand and she took it, letting him pick her up like a rag doll.

She looked around the room and took note of the other traitors that stood among them. She wondered what they were each promised and if they felt as guilty as she did. She glanced at Reagan as Marcus pushed her towards the Robes so hard she fell to her knees.

"Great job, Y/n," one of the Robes said, "see, we told you it wouldn't be difficult."

She didn't make eye contact. She couldn't tell if it was her conscious or the kick to the stomach, but she was feeling extremely nauseous and strangely calm at the same time.

"Why are you doing this?" Reagan managed to sputter out.

"Why the world is ending!" one of the Robes replied.

"They're being dramatic," said another, "we're just moving on to the sixth Earth."

"Yes, yes," responded another, "the Aztecs were right...ish," the Robe motioned for her to be placed in her tube. Y/n did as she was told. She picked up Reagan swiftly and dragged her in without any problems.

"I hope it was worth it," Reagan whispered harshly to her as the door slid closed.

Y/n stared blankly at her as her guilty conscious disappeared. She did what she had to do and she was tired of feeling bad about it. In fact, she was tired of feeling at all.

Brett and Glenn rushed around Cognito in search of Reagan as chaos ensued around them. Co-workers turned on each other. They accused each other of being the traitor but didn't have any reliable evidence. Mini fires spread around the building as well though they were mostly contained.

When they arrived to the security room they found it a complete mess. Monitors with broken screens were littered throughout the room but neither Reagan, Y/n, or Carl were to be found.

Glenn picked up a piece of a broken weapon and looked back at Brett with a worried expression.

"Well," Brett said, his voice raspy, "at least they're not dead."

"Yeah but we're back to square one. No clues, no answers, no leads."

Glenn was right. They had nothing, but they couldn't sit back as Cognito destroyed itself from within. They had to regroup and strategize.

A lightbulb went off in Brett's head. He perked up with a small smile, "who said anything about no leads."

Malina banged on the doors of Y/n's lab as she held on tightly to a small handgun. The door swung open and Steven dragged her inside before quickly slamming it shut.

"This is terrifying!" Malina trembled, "everyone is accusing each other! Can you imagine what they'd do to us if they found out about our involvement?! We'd be crucified. Literally!"

"Peer pressure," Steven reassured her, "if anything we were manipulated into this mess."

Malina nodded shakily as Steven pulled her into a hug. She sniffled quietly on his shoulder as he patted her head. Suddenly, the sound of the doors banging startled them both. They looked to each other nervously as a muffled voice shouted at them.

"Let us in! C'mon Y/n I know you're in there!"

"Is that Gigi?" Malina panicked.
