Jen’s POV

“Jen! Hurry up and come down! The boys are here!” I heard my mother yell up the stairs. I brushed my hair one last time, slipped on my moccasins and ran down the stairs. Suddenly I heard someone scream my name.

“JENNIFER!” I turned to be face to face with my brother who I hadn’t seen in months.

“Harold!” I screamed. I jumped on him causing him to fall to the floor. “Oh my god, I missed you so so so so so much!” I yelled while hugging him while he layed on the floor. He chuckled before replying.

“I missed you too, love. Now if you wouldn’t mind getting off me so I can introduce you to the boys.” I blushed slightly.

“Sorry.” I responded as I got off him. He quickly stood up and glanced behind him.

“Alright. These are the boys.” He grinned. “Boys, this is my sister Jenny.” I suddenly felt all eyes on me. I looked behind my brother to the four other boys. They were all fit and quite attractive.

“Hi there! I’m Louis!” One of the four chirped. He ran up to me and hugged me tightly. He seemed very friendly and energetic. His brown hair ended right above his eyebrows. It looked messy as if he had just gotten out of bed, yet it was still quite hot. His eyes were this pretty shade of blue, and I wanted to keep staring at them but I heard another one of the guys begin to speak.

“Hey. Zayn.” The one with the deep voice answered. He seems very mysterious and quiet. Never the less, he was hot too. Actually more like sexy. His hair was perfectly done, nothing like Louis’ hair. His eyes were a deep brown, and seemed to hold many secrets. He grinned at me causing me to blush. I quickly turned to the next boy.

“Hey, I’m Niall.” The blonde Irish one spoke. His hair was bright blonde, and I could tell he dyed it or bleached it or something. His blue eyes were bright and filled with joy. He seemed very cheerful and happy. His accent was something else. It made me want to melt. Just hearing three words from his lips made me die. I wanted him to speak again so I could hear his thick accent, but the last of the boys began to introduce himself.

“Hi. I’m Liam Payne. Nice to finally meet you.” He smiled at me. His smile was addicting. His pink lips curved upwards, his cheeks forming lines. His smile invited me in, and was warming and sincere. His hair was a soft brown, a little messy as well, but not drastic. His eyebrows were big and bold. And his eyes were a sweet brown. His whole appearance was comforting. I felt at ease looking at him.

“Well, it’s great to finally meet you guys. I’ve heard a lot about you, and I’ve seen your performances and some pictures, but it’s much better to see you all in person. And my names Jennifer, but you can call me Jen or Jenny or whatever you’d like.” I smiled sweetly. So many girls would be freaking out right now, but I wasn’t going to act like that. I know how much my brother loved their fans, but he hated when people overreacted because of their presence. I was just going to act like they were any other guys I knew. I was going to act normal.

“Let me show you guys to your rooms.” My mom stated. She began leading them up the stairs towards the spare bedrooms. Harry and the other boys were going to be staying with us for a few weeks since they had a few shows and signings around here and then they had a small break. So they were going to be spending their time with us. I was actually quite happy about them staying with us because I missed my brother. I was used to him being around all the time and now he was never home. He was my best friend, my twin, he was there for everything. And then once he got famous it seemed as though I had lost him. I eventually had to be homeschooled for the remainder of the school year because of their sudden fame. People were very fake towards me, and I honestly didn’t have many friends who were true. Most people used me, and the only person I trusted was my mom. So I decided to be homeschooled and just live with the fact that I was going to have to be very sheltered. I suddenly felt someone’s arm wrap around my shoulder. I stared up into the eyes of my twin brother Harry. We had a few similarities, but we weren’t identical. My hair was lighter shade then his, pretty much brown. Mine was wavy, not curly. Our eyes were both the same shade of green. You could definitely tell we were related, but it wasn’t very clear that we were twins.

“So how’s everything been with my little sister?” He smiled down at me. I was quite shorter than him.

“I’m only 8 minutes younger than you Harry.” I replied with annoyance in my voice. He grinned at me. I looked up at his face once again. The happiness had faded away and I now saw the sorrow looming in his eyes. I could see all the restless nights, all the tears cried, all the pain was visible on his face. “Harry?”

“Yeah?” He snapped out of his depressive stare and looked at me once again. His identical green eyes fell upon me, and I knew I had to say it.

“I’m really sorry about Ava.” His expression changed into an even more upsetting look. “And I’m even sorrier for the way that it happened.” I whispered, making my eyes meet his. I saw the tears start to build up within his eyes. He nodded his head and then turned to look at the wall.

“It’s just hard, you know?” He spoke. You could hear the stifled cries he was holding back. “Just the pain of remembering her. The constant remembrance of her. Everything she meaned to me and all the memories I had with her. Just everything I do makes me think of her. I just miss her, I guess.” Tears streamed down his face as he leaked his heart out to me. I tightened my grip around his waist.

“I’m so sorry.” I whispered. “But you still have Emma right? At least you got her through it all.” I smiled weakly.

“Yeah, I’ll always have her. But not Ava.” He turned his head towards the floor. “Can you watch Emma for the night? I just need to go out.” He asked quickly. I looked at him unsurely.

“Of course.” I nodded. “You’re sure you’re okay, Harry?” I looked at him nervously. All he did was nod.

“Put her to bed early. We had a long flight. Bye.” He said quickly and walked out. I watched him walk out the door and down the pavement to his car, and drive away. I stared after his car, worrying about my brother who seemed lost.
