I like this song

It started as a typical day for the toon by the name of Y/n L/n.

She woke up, broke her clock for waking her up, brushed her teeth and hair, took a shower, got dressed, and ate breakfast. The moment she stepped outside (making sure to lock the door behind her) she took a deep breath and smiled. For the moment she saw the nice green grass, beautiful flowers, and blue sky, she decided that today was a perfect day. . .

for chaos.

Bright e/c eyes squinted at the thoughts of what she should do today. But first, she had to visit at least two of her friends.

The h/c haired toon placed her headphones on their head, f/s playing, and made their merry way to the Ink and Paint club. It was a casual walk of singing silently while skipping and narrowly missing a few falling pianos and anvils. After a few minutes, the h/cneet found themselves standing before the entrance of the Ink and Paint Club. The guard gave the young toon a look and let her in.

Happily, the toon went in and immediately went to work on scanning for a familiar monochromic female. After a few seconds of searching, the girl made a small sound of happiness as she spotted the toon she was searching for. "Betty!" she yelled out with a smile. At the sound of her name, the female looked up from the man she was selling a few cigars to. Instantly she smiled and excused herself from the man.
"Y/n sugar! How have ya been?" her accent shone through proudly in her voice. The colored toon giggled a bit and hugged her greyscale friend.
"I've been well Betty. How have you been?" y/n asked.
"I've been well sugar," she pauses and looks the girl up and down, "It looks like you've been doing some grow'n since the last I've seen ya."

That was true now that y/n had taken the time to look. The last time y/n had seen Betty, she was just a smidgen shorter and now the black and white female barely reached her chest. How the fuck did she not realize that the moment she walked into the building?

They talked a bit about lots of different things. From school to clients and eventually got to love lives. Betty had asked the young toon if anyone had caught her eye. "Well, uh, hey, Is Jessica anywhere around?" Betty frowned a bit.
"Sorry sugar, but she just left before you came here." The younger of the two toons would admit, she was a bit sad she couldn't see one of her friends in person today but what can ya do? Y/n pulled out two small bags with different colored ribbons, one ruby red and the other a nice shade of grey.
"I brought gifts for y'all. The grey one is for you and the red on is for Jessica. Can you give this to her when and if she comes back?" she said as she held out the boxes. Betty gently took them in her hands.
"That's so nice. Thank you so much sugar!" Betty said with a smile. Y/n smiled back and started making her way to the exit.
"Have a good day Betty! Stay safe!"
"You too Sugar!" And with that, the e/c eyed toon left the club.

By the time y/n had gotten out of the club it, for some reason, was beginning to become dark. Y/n could've sworn she was only there for thirty minutes. I guess time flies when you're having fun. Y/n sighed, 'I guess chaos would have to wait another day.'

The female stretched and placed her headphones back on. The song's melody was something of a jazz song and the voice of the singer was something akin to listening to a lullaby. It greatly relaxed her. Gloved fingers snapped along with the slow rhythm of the song and the lyrics softly left her lips perfectly.

Her eyes slowly fell shut and she just let her legs take her where they wanted. It was strange. She had never felt like this when listening to this song and she had heard it plenty of times.
She felt tired.
She could faintly feel herself swaying. She could have sworn she only had one drink and it wasn't even an acholic one.
She felt the ground leave from under her feet. Did she lie down?
Oh no.
She's falling.
Oh well.
That's a problem for future me.
