An encompassing darkness clouded your vision. Faint murmurs could be heard from a distance. Multiple voices spoke at once. It was hard trying to get a hold of what was going on. You could feel your arms trapped in place, outstretched to your sides, hands dangling down. The beeping of machines peeked your interest. You tried your best to open your eyes however it seemed as if your body was keeping them from opening.

Everything was confusing. Where were you? How did you end up in a situation like this? Did you come to this strange place willingly? You had so many more questions and yet, unfortunately,  they could not be answered. You couldn't recall what happened before this. How unlikely of you.   Surely you would find a way out. You'd try get out of this place in no time. You just have to be patient. There's no need to rush. If anything these people could be trying to help you. Maybe your mindset has led you into thinking these people could be dangerous. But if anyone were in this type of situation they would think the same.

Distracted by your thoughts. You didn't notice the voices in the room getting louder. Two particular voices conversed back and forth. It almost seemed like they were arguing. A male and a female to be exact. The woman's voice sounded familiar. It sounded young. Soothing even.  Listening in on their bickering you noticed they were talking about someone. You couldn't really tell who, that is until the woman said a specific name that made you awaken.

"(Y/n) Turn on"

Your eyes shot open. A faint smile plastered your face. Your vision blurry for a second but coming into focus eventually. Your eyes traced the room. Eyes landing on two people. The young woman you assumed woke you up looked to be around her teen ages. Just like you.  She wore a thin pair of glasses, smelt of perfume, had caramel for skin, Hazel eyes, and Curly, dark brown, hair. She was wearing a simple outfit that consisted of baggy pants and a tucked in turtle neck.

Her eyes focused on you. She let out a sigh of relief, hand over chest. She relaxed. She was relieved to see you. Why? Step-by-step, she walked over to you. Your eyes followed her. Stopping, she started to speak.

"I can finally relax now knowing your okay. You had me worried! You overused your quirk and shut down. Thankfully, I found you passed out a couple minutes later. You could probably guess what happened next."

Oh, right. You were practicing ways to improve your quirk. You knew the quirk in general was fantastic. But the drawbacks were the things keeping you back. You couldn't use your quirk for long periods of time, you'd end up passed out or finding yourself with an excruciating headache.  It didn't help that this got in the way of the ones you were supposed to protect. Oh well. You'd learn to deal with it.

The woman standing in front of you was your moms helping assistant. She might be a bit young to be working for her age but she's good at her job. You'd grown fondly of her. She was left to take care of you when your mom was doing business elsewhere. You two were practically friends. Semi- at least. She was the first person you had linked yourself too. Everything worked out for the both of you. She made sure your quirk was working properly and you provided her protection. Scanning her facial features, her memories and features were stored into your system. Monika Asuka. Born in America. She and her family moved to Japan for a once in a lifetime job offering that was presented to her mother. Monika was seven at the time.

"Well now that you know she's okay. Hurry and get home! You've got work to do!" You turned your head towards the male. You definitely did not know him. He must've been a close friend with your mother. The way he spoke to Monika was strange. But she nodded her head in response so you didn't think much of it.

Monika made her way behind you and started to unhook the machines that were attached, slowly making her way to the front. You felt yourself being set down from the machine. Once the machine locked in place, you walked over to Monika. Grabbing her hand. She glanced at you before she told the others she was gone.

Walking out of the small room, you were met with a long hallway. Walls painted a dark sea green and carpet a dark brown. There were a few paintings here and there and two lounge chairs sat at the end of the hallway. Suddenly Monika made a right and you both were headed towards an elevator. Long potted plants sat at both sides of the elevator.

You both entered the elevator, digital buttons appearing on a black screen, Monika pressing the one with an "L"on it. There was a built in audio asking if this was the correct floor. Suddenly the digital buttons disappeared, replaced with two that said "Yes Or No."  Monika clicked the yes button and suddenly you were headed down. It took about thirty seconds to get to the right floor. The elevator doors opened and you greeted by a lobby. Lounge chairs were everywhere and on the side of you was a large front desk. This was familiar. Your mother brought you down to the lobby sometimes on her days off. Or when she felt like taking a break from work.

Monika led you outside to the parking lot. A small Mercedes await you both. You walked to the passenger side and climbed in. It was dark out. The moon out-shined all the stars. It gazed down ever so softly upon land. Driving away from the parking lot and onto the road. You looked out the window. Counting the speeding trees now and then. Monika kept her eyes on the road. Stopping at a red light every now and then. Everything was silent. The sound of faint mourners couldn't be heard anymore. You could finally relax.
