Briar POV:
My legs are shaking. I'm in a stupid red and black tartan skirt, a stupid matching tartan tie locked around a fancy whiter than white shirt, with even more stupid, fancy, white socks and to finish it all off is a maroon-red blazer that I can't move my arms in (apparently that means it's the perfect size). I look stupid and my legs won't stop shaking. This is bullshit.
I rip the "perfect size" blazer off and throw it into the corner of my room before tearing the white fancy socks off and throwing them on top of my blazer. I shrug a black leather jacket over my shirt, slip on some purposely ripped tights and roll up the skirt. Last but not least I shove in some bright pink fluffy socks because they're comfy, before covering them up with black and red platform boots.
Now I look like me. Fancy me. Private school me.
I stomp downstairs and into the kitchen to see Gabby cooking eggs at the stove, Mia's arms wrapped her waist from behind, just as Gabby turned round and lower her face to Mia's, I decided to make my presence known.
"No PDA in front of the child!" I call, jokingly covering my eyes and gagging when Gabby kisses Mia anyway. "I kiss my wife whenever I want you little cheek" Gabby says, walking over to me before assessing my outfit "you look good, I like the socks" she comments, "thanks" I roll my eyes and shove the tips of my bright pink socks further into the boot. They're for comfort, not fashion.
"You look amazing honey, if any teachers has a problem with it tell me and I'll sort it out" Mia adds, winking at the end, I hold back a giggle but let slip a smile. I see Mias eyes brighten and her smile widen, if that's even possible.
"Ok, eggs are done" Gabby calls and I plop myself down at the table, waiting eagerly for my scrambled eggs. Breakfast was knew to me, it felt strange eat this early in the morning everyday, back in the group home there wasn't enough money to feed everyone breakfast everyday, it was a first come first serve kinda situation. If you were late downstairs you went hungry until lunch. The little kids waking up at the ass crack of dawn and inhaling a while three course meal made eating breakfast a rarity.
But sitting here, with a plate full of food and enough left for seconds, I felt like maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't have to spend another morning hungry.
"Ok, we gotta leave in five mins, hurry this up please" Gabby stated, getting up and shrugging a blazer on over her cream shirt, Mia soon following with the dirty plates in her hands. I shove the last few bits of egg in my mouth and attempt to mumble a thank you but just end up having to cover my mouth to stop bits of egg flying out. Gabby roles her eyes playfully and I crack an egg filled smile.

"Holy shit, you didn't tell me I was going to Hogwarts, do I get cloak?" I said, pearling out the cars tinted window at what can only be described as a literal castle. I bet a bunch of people were killed in there, it's totally haunted.
Maybe this new school will be more fun than I thought.
Gabby chuckled "no you will not get a cloak" I pouted at that "but have a good day sì? Call me if you need anything and I need anything" Gabby sated seriously, I nodded and kicked her serious face "sí" I replied in a mockingly serious and low tone.
"Don't forget your lunch honey!" Mia practically squealed, shoving an abnormally lathe lunch box into my arms "I wasn't sure what you like so I threw everything in there" she smiled sheepishly "thank you" I replied, genuinely builds as to when and why she'd done this, I expected to buy some food at the cafeteria or go hungry.
