This story begins with a fire. A fire that only gets more significant in size as this tale goes on.
My name is Flip, and this story may come off to individuals as well, weird. Well, that's because it is. This is most likely going to be the weirdest thing some may have read. Do I care? Absolutely not, I could give less of a shit.
Allow me to introduce the characters in this story. Well, of course, you already know me, but there are several other characters on the table. Well, with you reading this they are characters to you. But guess what! These people aren't characters to me! This shit is real to me and gives me headaches thinking about it every goddamn night! Did you ever think of that? Of how fictional characters have to go through this bull shit while you shit back and laugh at the little words?! How about you read this, and after finishing this chapter think with that tiny brain of yours how this feels to me?
Why are you reading this anyway? Are you some ignorant teen looking for something to get your mind off your ex that dated you for a fucking week? Get your ass off Wattpad and go do your homework. Also, take a shower while you're at it you smell like day-old fish left in the mother fucking fridge!
Anyway. On with the show.
(Yeah yeah, I know what you're thinking. You didn't go over the characters! Yeah, that's the point, Sherlock. Just establishing Flip's character, you'll learn about the others later.)
How did I even get myself into this mess? This never-ending spiral that only mimics the horror and shame caused by those around me.
I step foot into my school cafeteria greeting the staff member standing at the entrance. It was the first day back to school after the winter break. This Christmas was nothing special, got some new clothes and little gadgets. Nothing to go insane over.
I sense my brain getting uncomfortable with thoughts racing with useless clutter that I'd most likely forget just minutes later.
"Great, just four more years of this torture for a piece of paper that I'll never be able to do anything with." I thought as my friend, Chloe, jumps up from behind me terrifying the hell out of me.
"Hey Flip! How was" she delightfully says before being interrupted by my high-pitched shrieking
"Woah dude chill out! It's just me!" We both giggle at my reaction as we go to join the others sitting at the table.
I attempt to act cheerful while listening to the others babble on about what they did over the break. I decided to ask my friend, Kris what they did.
Days before the break I had fallen sick with the flu, causing me to miss a few days of school. Oh boy, what Kris told me about those days made me wish I came just to stop what they had gotten into.
Kris told me they got married to one of my friends, George. While George isn't a bad guy it just felt..off.
Not knowing what to say I congratulate them on the occurrence "Wow guys! So happy for you. Let's hope you don't have to sign those divorce papers too early!" I kid, giggling to myself believing my joke was pretty humorous
The only noise coming out of my friend's mouth was a long deep sigh.
"What? Did you not think it was funny?" I murmured watching them stroll away to class.
"Hey, come on the joke wasn't that bad, was it?" I called out trying to catch up with them.
"Dude. That wasn't funny it was just rude." George comments as he turns around giving me a judged glance as he crosses his arms in disappointment
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings just attempted to make a harmless joke that's all." I apologize
God dammit. We haven't even gone to the first period yet and I'm already starting this day on the wrong foot.
