In the United States of America lived a little girl called Gracie in the state of Florida, when she was four, she started to read and write like a 5th grader would which made her parents proud of her, and also she had perfect memory.

But she wasn't good at making friends which made her older brother who was 2 years older than her as well as her only friend. When she was in 3rd grade during break time unlike other kids who played in the playground or played tag she would go to the library and read by herself, at first her parents thought that she might have a social disorder which made them worried they thought she had social phobia so they took her to the psychologist, and luckily there was nothing wrong with her but she should socialize more and not just study or read books all day, but Gracie didn't care because to her books were everything she needed and more it was the place she thought she fit in.

So one day her brother decided to take her to hang out with his friends and he did not allow her to take any books with her which she was complaining about 'Chris please let me take my book I need to know what happens to the murderer ' he replied ' sorry Gracie this is for your own good' he then told her that it was a camping trip and you will experience the life inside your books so she agreed since there he wasn't going to take no for an answer.

When their father dropped them off at the campsite Chris went rushing to his friends which made Gracie feel left out,  but to her surprise, one of Chris's friends also brought his sister along they were new to the neighborhood so it was her first time seeing them but she felt shy and couldn't approach her so she opened her phone and started reading since Chris wasn't paying attention to her at all that was her chance.

A moment later Chris came to her saying "didn't we agree no reading today"

She laughed and said 'but you know this is what truly makes me happy Chris' then he said 'well I know something else that can make you happy' she stood up excitedly and said' what is it?' he said "follow me " she did and then his friends John, Luke, Jacob, and someone she doesn't recognize then he stood up and introduced himself ' hi I'm Owen' then Chris explained that Owen was his friend from 2nd grade but he moved out of town and now he is back then Gracie nodded.

The little girl's name was Mia, and she was about my age and soon she will be joining my class, so she started talking and talking about her travels and it was starting to annoy me, then I went to Chris and whispered in his ear 'I need the bathroom' he then excused himself and took my hand and took me to the restroom.

After I got out of the restroom , I told him that 'I want to go home and Mia is SOOO ANNOYING, and I want my peace world back I don't like this' then he took me to a lake near by, it looked so beautiful  like one from a fairytale we sat down then he said 'listen it isn't good for your health to always put your head in those books I didn't say that you shouldn't read but you should read and also have fun and to tell you the truth I asked Owen to bring  Mia over hoping you find yourself a friend by the way Mia also loves books why don't you two talk about that ' then I said 'Oh my I must have been horrible to Mia' he replied 'now you know your mistake why don't you go and have fun ' then he took a deep breath and said ' please enjoy yourself for me today' and he hugged me.

When I went back with Chris, I saw Mia reading in a corner far from the other I went to her and told her 'Hey you like reading too' and she smiled and said 'yeah', maybe Chris was right maybe we do have a lot in common.

So, we started talking for hours about books and it turned out that we have the same taste in books, that day me and Mia becomes besties.

After we finished our long conversation, we went to join the others, Chris winked at me that was our secret sign that everything is okay I winked back then he smiled.

We sang songs and grilled marshmallows, that was the was one of the best day of my life, and I learned that socializing might not be that bad after all .
