The next day, I headed to the mall with my mom to find a new dress for my aunt's upcoming wedding next month. I was super excited because it would be my very first wedding to attend. After browsing around, I finally settled on a pink dress with adorable flowers in the middle. I even found a headband that matched the flowers perfectly.

As soon as we got home, I couldn't wait to try on the whole outfit. And let me tell you, it looked fabulous! I rushed over to my mom, gave her a big kiss on the cheek, and thanked her for helping me pick out such an amazing dress. When my dad caught sight of me, he couldn't believe his eyes. He was like, "Whoa, who's that? Is that my daughter?" I couldn't help but giggle and replied, "Of course, it's your daughter! Who else could be this beautiful?"

Overall, it was a super fun day at the mall with my mom, and I couldn't be happier with my new dress. I can't wait to rock it at my aunt's wedding next month!

This past week has been crazy for my family and me. We've been super busy with all the wedding planning for my aunt. Because of that, I haven't had a chance to see Owen or Mia. I've really missed hanging out with Mia since we usually spend time together almost every day. It looks like we won't be able to go back home for another week, which is a bummer.

My mom has been helping with the family, and Chris has been hanging around with my other cousins. Honestly, I barely even know their names. So, I've been left all alone. They all think I'm a bookworm because I'm always buried in a book which is kind of true, I don't have the energy for their crazy drama.

I really miss my sweet, quiet, peaceful home. There, I don't have to deal with kids fighting and screaming, or those people I barely know bombarding me with non-stop questions. Most of the time, I just nod or say "good good" to get them off my back. Oh boy, this is going to be one long week.

Feeling the need for some alone time, I decided to escape to the lovely lake near my grandparents' place. Well, they're actually dead, but that's where we're staying. As I arrived at the lake, I found a spot by a massive rock and took out my phone to text Mia. It's been two days since we came back to our hometown, and let me tell you, EVERYTHING IS A MESS. People everywhere, and my aunt is losing her mind over all the preparations. Earlier, she got angry because the cake filling was bright red instead of crimson. I never thought my usually composed aunt could be this ridiculous.

Just as I was about to get up because my mom called me for dinner, I saw a girl about my age running towards me. She was being chased by some mysterious men in black suits. She handed me a letter and kept running. I was left standing there, completely dumbfounded. What the heck just happened? And the weirdest part? My name was on that letter.

As I held the letter in my hands, my heart raced with a mix of curiosity and fear. Who were those men in black suits? And why were they chasing this girl? Questions flooded my mind, but before I could even begin to process them, I unfolded the letter. The words on the page were written in elegant handwriting, and as I read them, a sense of urgency washed over me.
