Chapter 8.

Izuku pov

I: "h-hey Shoto! What's up?" I asked trying to act normal.

S: "Where the hell are you?! We've been looking for you all day!!"

I: "w-what do you mean? I'm in my dorm."

S: "are you sure because I'm in your dorm I don't see you anywhere."

I: "I-I have to go!"

Not waiting for his response I hung up on him and turned my phone off completely.

"I'm guessing it was about your disappearance." Rody said sitting down next to me, handing me the mug of tea. "yeah.. He said they've been searching for me all day." I said as I took the mug.

"so why exactly did you..run away?" he asked. "lot of things.. I didn't have enough time to learn beside training and I had to stay awake for days because I only had time to do homework at night. At weekends when I'm not at the dorms I can handle mx mom making me do all the chores and blaming me for my father leaving us. I got tired of Kacchan and Monoma beating me up everyday and I just can't feel comfortable anywhere near that place.. That day when I decided to run away was the day when Kacchan bursted into my dorm and beat the shit out of me." I said holding back my tears. Did I just cuss..? I've never done that before..

Rody pov

"wait who's Kacchan?" I asked trying to keep my voice calm but I was furious. I can't believe someone would do such a thing.

"oh he's that short tempered blond haired boy, you met him at the mission.." he said. That fucking angry pomeranian lookalike?! I never liked him. "that fucking bitch did what?" "i-it's okay he was like this ever since our childhood!" he said.

"wait so you mean he beats you since you were kids?!" I fucking hope not. "yeah but it wasn't always this rough.. I guess he was just too raged and-" he was just about to start gambling again but I cut him off by pulling him in a hug.

"you will never ever go back there again.." I said hugging him tighter. I can't bare the simple thought of that someone could hurt such a cute and innocent boy.

I heard him giggle a bit as he melted into the hug. "I don't think I even want to go back.. It's true that I worked very hard to get in there but I didn't go there for suffering and sleepless nights." he said.

"I'm happy that you're here.. You know, I missed your company." I admitted with a slight blush on my face. "I-I missed your company too.." he stuttered as he kept hugging. I like this long hug..

I saw Pino fly on Izuku's head with a red face and he started..kissing it? "Pino! Get off of his head." I hissed, probably still blushing like crazy. I heard Izu giggle a bit as he pulled away from the hug. "it's tickling me..but did he just kiss my head?" he asked nervously.

"n-no!" I said putting Pino away who was now frustrated. He started giggling again until his own stomach cut him off with a growl. "hungry?" I asked.

"maybe..a little bit." he said scratching the back of his neck. "I have some onigiri and pocky left in my bag, do you want some?" he asked with a smile.

"that's nice of you but that food is yours, I won't eat it away from you." I said as I stretched my arms. "but I would gladly give some! I can't eat that much anyway and they would just end up rotting in my bag." he said.

Seriously? It can't be that much. I sighed as I stood up and walked to the kitchen with the empty mug in my hand. "bring it here and we'll see!" I yelled from the kitchen as I heard quick footsteps making their way towards the bedroom.

When the footsteps approached the kitchen they stopped. Izuku put a medium sized box of onigiris and a box of pocky on the table. "that literally has four onigiris in it and I can see you already ate one, I wouldn't call it 'too much'." I said leaning against the counter.

"well it is too much for me! So you eat the half of it or I'm gonna have to throw it in the trash can." he said as he sat down to the table crossing his arms. "OR you could eat all of it." I said as Pino flew on the table and crossed his arms. I couldn't help but chuckle.

He took one out of the box and took a small bite. I watched him eat the onigiri, when he finished he took out another one and handed it to me.

"no, that's yours." I said. "Rodyyyy don't do this to me!" he said smashing his head at the table. "ow." he mumbled. I tried to hold back a laugh, but failed as I burst out laughing while watching him put a hand on his forehead where he just hit it.

"that's not funny, it hurts!" he whined. "well, you were the one who smashed his head." I said as I looked over Pino, who was laughing as well.

"yeah yeah take it or I'll smash your head too." he said furrowing his eyebrows as he handed me the onigiri. "woah woah why is the sudden aggression?" I asked putting my arms in front of my chest in protection.

"take. It." he said staring right into my soul. Izu- dear you're creeping me the fuck out.. "t-thanks" I said as I took the food out of his hand and took a bite.

He then went back to his 'usual self' and gave me a blinding smile. He's just as scary as sweet- until today I thought he's that typical softie boy who's nice to everyone.. Not like I care though, I still think it's adorable..

After I ate it I looked at the clock on my phone. 6:08pm. My shift is starting soon. "uh Izu- would you be fine by yourself here for the night?" I asked. "why? Where are you going?" he asked as he took another bite from his onigiri.

"I have work. You know I need to work at night because at daytime I have to take care of Roro and Lala." I said. "oh what do you work?" he asked.

"I work as a bartender when I'm not on an um...mission." I said nervously. I know he already knows that I'm pretty much of a criminal but it's still awkward to talk about it. "that's cool! I should find a job too since I'm planning to stay in this city.." he mumbled. Then an idea hit me. Correction: an AMAZING idea.

"how about you work with me? You don't have to go on missions hut they pay pretty well for a bartender and it's a very easy job to do. We're looking for more bartenders anyway." I said putting more excitement in my voice than I wanted to.

"r-really?! That would be amazing!" he said with shining eyes. I couldn't help but chuckle. Cute..
