When Buck turned ten everyone knew he was an Alpha, there was no doubt about it. He was tall, athletic and he didn’t take shit from anyone. On top of that everyone who was born a Buckley was either an Alpha or Beta, the only Omgas were the few Alphas who went with an Omega mate.

Having said that, when Buck turned fifteen no one was shocked he presented as an Alpha, though Buck wasn’t exactly excited like his father was. But Buck never said anything, Buck swears it’s the only time his father wasn’t disappointed in him but something in Buck's stomach twisted and turned. After he presented his body always felt wrong like it wasn’t his. His skin would crawl every time his rut came up and it made him want to vomit.

By the age of seventeen Buck couldn’t take the dread of his rut every two months so he quickly went on suppressants, he lied to his parents saying they were too painful so his parents would take him to the doctors. Buck never knew why he felt like this and he was too scared to talk to someone about it so he ignored it. And when he turned twenty his parents tried setting him up with random Omegas so he ran off to La and became a firefighter.

When he first joined the 118 everything was fantastic then Eddie Diaz showed up. It is normal for Alphas to step on each other's toes when joining work fields where you're so close to one another that you become a pack, but that’s not why Buck didn’t like the other Alpha when he first came. When the scent of the other hit Buck's nose something happened that he didn’t understand, his heart fluttered and then there was a warm sensation in his lower stomach. It confused him, he didn’t know how to act so that confusion turned to anger which he forced on Eddie.

That anger quickly disappeared after him and Eddie had to pull a bomb out of a man’s leg. Buck was amazed by Eddie’s knowledge and he was hypnotized by his charm. Then Buck met his son and Buck’s admiration turned into a crush, his heart fluttered at how well Eddie took care of his pup. It made Buck long for his own.

Buck was so drawn to the other Alpha in a way he had never been with anyone else. Sure he’s slept with others but that was just meaningless sex, he was barely even attracted to those people. Buck only ever did it to blow off steam and to forget about he secondary gender and he may have gotten carried away. Even with Abby, Buck 

convinced himself, more like forced himself to like the Beta. After she left it was almost like a weight lifted off his shoulders, but he was also lost. He lingered around her apartment till he couldn’t anymore.

His and Eddie’s relationship grew from there, they became best friends. But Buck's heart longed for something more with the other Alpha and he didn’t know what to do or if it was even possible. He quickly turned to the internet to figure out if anything he was feeling was normal. It took Buck three hours and constant digging till he found what he was looking for.

What he found was an old Reddit post made by a former Alpha. The person in the post talked about how when they first presented as an Alpha it pained them, it never felt right to them. The person talked about how they longed to be anything other than an Alpha, the person also explained that they met another Alpha. That they fell in love and they mated.

Buck was confused at first when the post mentioned two Alpha’s matting but then he continued to read. The post went into great detail saying you can turn an Alpha into an Omega. The way to do it is by tying down the Alpha willing to get turned and knotting them over and over again, eventually the tied down Alpha will essentially be forced into submission. Once the body becomes submissive they’re body will change into that of an Omega and once that happens you can bond. The owner of the post said the process is called bitching.

Buck quickly saved the post and looked up the term. He stared intently at his computer screen as he read out an article “AO also known as Bitching, is when a Alpha is forced into submission by another Alpha by repeatedly knotting them until their biology changes from that of an Alpha to an Omega” Hope sparked with in Buck, there was a sliver of hope that they could be together. Now there was the issue of actually getting Eddie to like him back in that way.
