You might be wondering what exactly happened in the last fifteen years, right? Well let me break that down for you:

Stiles and Lydia got together at the end of their senior year. To say Stiles was thrilled is the biggest under statement in the whole damn world. He finally had the girl of his dreams; the girl he has loved since third freaking grade. They were happy for years. That is until Lydia left him due to dreams she was having over and over. He was hurt and upset for months. He threw himself into his work, he cried when he was alone, and he released the anger at the gym.

It wasn't until a certain sour wolf showed up at his front door six months later looking fine as ever, did he remember that yes, he was most certainly bisexual and Derek-good looking-Hale was the reason for being curious in the first place. He still looks good as the day they met in the woods all those years ago - only he looks a little older and a little worn down - his once jet-black hair and beard is now peppered with greys, and it works for him. Man does it work for him.

Derek explained that his father told him about Lydia leaving so he wanted to make sure he was alright. Stiles practically beamed as he let the wolf inside. They talked until the sun came up, until their eyes were tired, and they could no longer hold them open. Stiles told him about his work, that most of his cases were supernatural related since Agent McCall – aka Scott's father was in the know. He explained how Theo was now living with him; helping him out on a lot of his cases.

Theo showed up at his door step a few years ago. He was heartbroken that he and Liam had broken up. Theo didn't really say why they split, but Stiles couldn't turn the chimera away. Not when he was crying and snot was literally running down his face. So now they're roommates. They worked passed their old grudges and betrayals. Now the two are the best of friends.

Derek tells Stiles how he's still in Beacon Hills, he tried traveling for a while but he ended up back in the only town he knew as home. He has a little house in the woods. He explains how his father uses him as a supernatural consultant. (Stiles laughed until he cried. Because of course his father hired Derek for that job).

He tells the boy – well the man (Stiles isn't exactly a boy anymore) that he and Peter opened a mechanic shop. That his old baby blue jeep is there being repaired and not by just using duct tape. Scott left it behind apparently (Stiles cried for a whole different reason when Derek had told him that his moms jeep is being fixed finally.)

Malia works part time but she mostly spends her time in coyote form in the woods these days. Then he broke the news to Stiles, the real news he needed to tell the human in person. "I adopted a baby."

Stiles sits there on his grey couch, eyes wide as saucers, and his lips parted, hanging open, gapping like a fish out of water. "I'm sorry, you what!?"

"Adopted a baby. One morning I woke up and there was a baby at my front door. I don't know who left him or why. but I-I kept him. I'm guessing the mother wasn't capable of keeping him? I don't really know." Derek shrugs as if he's talking about the weather. "His name is Eli and he's six months old."

"Oh. My. God." Stiles utters breathless. "You - you're a dad. Ohmygod! Congrats, Der!" Stiles isn't going to lie, picturing Derek as a dad does things to Stiles. He finds the man sitting beside him even hotter than he did before.
