I was working at a coffee shop as an actor when I saw him again. I skipped my performances that day. Because seeing him laughing and smiling with someone else felt like I was being shot at. No.. it felt like he was pouring acid into a wound that hasn't healed.
His name is Hira. we went to the same high school and we dated in high school too. He was always weird. He would take pictures of ducks ( rubber ducks not real ones) would take pictures of me and follow me like some kind of stalker but he was always loyal. He keep referring to me as the king even after I told him that I was just a normal human. After getting to know him better I fall in love with him. I thought he would love me forever but then he left me
Two years earlier
it was later at night on the last day of high school. Hira invited Kiyoi to meet him in their now-old classroom. He wasn't sure why Hira wanted to meet him there. He didn't know he if just wanted to talk there, hang out, or do something else. Kiyoi got there, and Kiyoi was walking back and forward like there's was something on his mind.
H: Kiyoi.. I... I ..
K: just say it already
H: i want to break up
K: HUH?
H: your beautiful but... but your...your not a king
K: yeah so?
H: the magic is gone
K: WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
H: I don't love you anymore
K: but just yesterday
H: sorry I.. I lied.. sorry
Hira closed eyes. Getting himself ready for Kiyoi to hit him but instead he hears him crying.
H: Why.. why are you crying?
K- you're a jerk
He pushes Hira to the ground and kicks him then he leaves. His body was shaking. He didn't get far before falling down. He was crying his eyes out for a moment before running out the school. he didn't want Hira seeing him falling apart. It began to rain as soon as Kiyoi opened the school's front door. He walked all the way home with his clothes and hair covered in the water. He continued crying until he fall asleep.
After nine months of heartache, he vowed to himself that he would never fall in love again, especially with someone like Hira.
