Unalike Duplicate

Chapter 1

"Tails! Buddy! Could you help me with the...the.. what was it called?" A small blue hedgehog was struggling to push some structure.

A two tailed fox was using his own tails to make himself fly while he studied his invention. He shrugged. "Just call it a telescope. They aren't that different" he swooped over to the other side of the telescope. "Remind me why we need it?" The hedgehog held his breath as he continued to slowly push.

"I need it to get a good look at the comet tonight. This will take a picture. And show the comet in a high quality" the fox landed on top of the telescope. "Your not. Helping!" The hedgehog changed positions. He tried one more shoved. But ended up slipping on his butt. "Owww!" Sonic whined.

"Pathetic" the fox and hedgehog looked over to the source of the voice. A red echidna walked over to them. "Let the true warrior handle this, hedgehog" the echidna said. He went to the hedgehogs original spot. And began pushing the telescope with ease.

The fox swooped off the telescope. He squatted down at the hedgehog. "Are you okay, Sonic?" He asked. "Yeah...just. Tired" Sonic flopped down on his back. A sigh escaping his lips. "You go annoy knuckles about your telescopey thingy" He waved his hand away at Tails. "If you say so" the fox shrugged. He then used his namesakes to fly over back to the telescope.

"Someone's tired" an older feminine voice said. "Already? Didn't you sleep till the afternoon?" An older masculine replied. Sonic squinted his eyes open.

Standing over him were two humans. The woman with dark skin. And black, silky hair. The other had a lighter skin tone. And some messy, fluffy combed back hair. "I'm not tired. Just resting my eyes" Sonic closed his eyes again.

"Oh really?" The older man smirked. "Tom. Don't. Leave the poor guy" the woman scolded the other. "This little turd kept pestering me about the comet. And I will not have him fall asleep during it" he pointed out. The woman sighed. Tom grabbed the hedgehogs legs. Sonic's eyes shot open. Before he could react. Tom pulled  Sonic up into the air. Holding him upside down while shaking him.

"AAAAAAAAAYY! MADDIE. HELP MEeEeE!!" Tom continued to fling the screaming hedgehog. Maddie held back a chuckle. "Okay- Okay. Tom. E-enough" Maddie held back a laugh.

"Fine, Fine" Tom rolled his eyes playfully. Then dropped Sonic down on the ground. "Oof!-" Sonic rubbed his head. He glared at Tom. Sticking his tongue out at him

"Come on, blue. We better catch up to Tails and Knuckles" Maddie pulled Sonic up to his feet. "Alrighty!" Sonic dashed off. Leaving a blue streak behind him

Tom and Maddie looked at each other. Both of them shrugged. They then went to go follow their blue friend

"Move, Knux. You're hogging the blanket" Sonic shoved knuckles to the side. "Shut it, hedgehog" he growled as he shoved Sonic away. "Quit it you guys! I barely on the blanket" Tails whined as he shoved Sonic towards Knuckles.

"How about I take the blanket. And you can all sit in the cold grass" Maddie said in a questioning tone. The three of them quickly got themselves sorted. Tom laughed at their reactions.

Tails peered inside his telescope. "Alright. The comet should appear any moment now" He stated. "Finally! When we get home. I'm going to make myself a hot chocolate. With extra marshmallows and cookies" Sonic said. Almost drooling at the thought. "Maybe I'll have some to. With grapes" knuckles suggested to himself. "Ew. Maybe stay with the grape soda instead" Knuckles shrugged. "Your loss"

"Psst! Tails. I think I see the comet" Maddie whispered to the fox. "What?! Where??" Tails moved his telescope around. Trying to find the comet. "Move it to the right a bit" Tom leaned over to Tails. Slightly moving the telescope to the right. "Oh! OH! I see it! I see it!!" Tails squealed. "What? Let me see!" Sonic moved Tails over. Looking over into the telescope. "WOAH! Sick!" Sonic gasped in awe.
