Klaus POV:

Seeing the Quagmires for the first time in almost 2 years was crazy. And it seemed my thing with Duncan hadn't gone away.

I hugged him and he whispered in my ear."I missed you so so much."

As I pulled away he gave me a discreet kiss on the cheek.

Shit. Oh no. I was blushing like crazy. The girls probably noticed.

As they walked us to the apartment they bought, they explained everything that had been going on. And we explained why we disappeared. Bea seemed to take a liking to Isadora. So she held her the whole walk. Violet took Quigley's hand, and Sunny had her free one. I wished that could be me and Duncan.

But that wasn't right. Boys don't hold other boys hands, and kiss them, and they definitely don't have boyfriends.

But I did. Another reason why I would always be different.

The building was tall and gray. We walked in and stood in the lobby for a bit as we caught up some more.

"Alright, are we ready to go up?" Quigley asked.

We nodded. And he started toward the elevator. I froze.

All the memories seemed to flash through my mind.

Flash.

The hot air balloon.

Flash.

Duncan and Isadora in a cage.

Flash.

Esme shoving us down the shaft.

Flash.

The net.

Flash.

The Hotel Denouement.

Flash.

The elevator ride with Olaf and Justice Strauss.

Flash.

The fires.

Flash.

VFD.

Flash.

I was back to reality.

He paused when he noticed we weren't with him.

"Oh um, I'm so sorry...I forgot about Es-"

Violet cut him off. "It's fine, you mean to. Let's take the stairs." She said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

And so we took the stairs. Isadora and Bea in the front, running, I'm not sure if that was the safest with a baby but okay. Quigley and Violet next, with Sunny right behind them. So that left me and Duncan in the back. He instantly grabbed my hand. I looked at him and stopped walking.

"We are gonna get caught some day." I laughed. 

He nodded.

"I know, but I don't care anymore. I almost died when you went missing, I never stopped believing you and your siblings were out there." He said.

I smiled. I kissed him. Like actually kissed him!!!! The only time we kissed was like 2 years ago!! And it didn't count to me.

He pulled away and smiled. "Let's go, the others might notice we are gone."

We ran up the stairs and soon we found them. Outside the door, it was the 3rd floor up, and the 10th door to the left. Isadora stood sort of guarding the door, Beatrice still in her arms.

"I have to warn you, we do indeed have a roommate, two actually. And, you might know them. But before you judge, they are kind people."

I was confused. But I followed Duncan in and almost screamed. Thankfully I didn't have to. Because Sunny did.
